My foot is better so I guess it was just a sprain! However now Im pretty certain I have endometriosis. lol at my aging health!

Today I gotta somehow produce a 6 page essay on the articles of the confederation vs. the U.S constitution. *sarcastic YAY*
Then I gotta read 2 chapters on teaching ESL to children.
Then I gotta find a teaching strategy and prepare to present it to a bunch of adults as if they were a group of children....I hate that we have to do this...its so akward singing preschool songs and trying to engage adults in educational games for preschoolers.

On a happy note....Friday night my man and I went out and found a new vegan cafe that opened in midtown Sacramento! Ive been waiting and waiting for Sac-town to jump on the vegan/veg band wagon...it's probablly the last city ever to finally cater to veg heads. This place was phenomenal too! They had a whole case filled with vegan cupcakes...I seriously died and went to fat kid heavan. Plus the owners are rasta which made my partner really happy to support the biz even more.

So far today I've been doing work online. It feels good. =) The whole family is still in their pjs. yeeehaw!! I will be doing more of the same for the rest of the day... perhaps some hooping added in there.

Yesterday we even troubleshooted issues that we were having with the van and it seems we fixed the problems... i can't bleieve it. Thank you internet forums! lol

Mandy, darn straight I can make you a hoop! I should have my tapes here in a week and then I'll review the colours I have to make sure it's what you want. I still need to make sure on the pricing for shipping to the US, but I can mark "gift" on it and hopefully avoid getting dinged at customs to avoid anything extra. I'll keep you posted! My first sale. hehe!

I watched, Legends of the fall, and seriously forgot how much of a BABE Brad pitt was in that movie!!!!! I mean it's almost just plain wrong how drop dead sexy he is!

 

i went to a party on friday with my dready friend Max, he has long fat dreads like 4 years old. and me and him were just chilling when this kid shouts across the room "yo dread, yo whats dread's name... max and this dread, woah!"

some wicked drunk high school kid was yelling at me from across the room. i went and talked to him and he had just sectioned and backcombed his hair that day, he even had rubber bands in his hair still... he was all "can i touch your dreads, man, woah dudebro, how long have you had 'em who backcombed them, they're dope" and i had to tell him that they were natural/neglect and that i got them from essentially camping for a few months straight. he was too drunk and wasn't having it so this is what he told me "yo dude, i backcombed 'em and i had to use wax, i know i know, but i had to use wax man. the wax it holds it together because my hair is so fine." i told him he didn't have to wax, but he said his hair "was too fine to not wax." i rolled my eyes, told him good luck and then left.

took my cousin to her school fair/ carnival thing yesterday. was introduced to some new american (?) concepts- the cakewalk among other things. very strange.

have NOT been working very hard lately, and thus not making as much money as i might be. HAVE been progressing somewhat with my attempt to learn spanish.

 

Today was my Mama's b-day, so I cooked for her, all her favorite stuff.

 

lol. I rock at the cake walk! Granted I have only participated in 1 cake walk in my entire life when I was around 9 years old. But hot damn I won like 5 cakes. My ego was pretty big that night....and later so was my stomach!

Its like musical chairs without the chairs. You walk in a circle...usually there are mats on the ground that you step on. 1-2 of the mats will be marked with a cake or something and if you end up on that mat when the music stops you win a cake!

 

This is familiar to me, I think I've seen such a thing on the boob tube!!

 

Sorting all my plants out after a week of the neighbour looking after them, 1 died but thats cool, repotted 3 of my tomato plants into bigger pots and put them in the green house also repotted some sunflowers too together with 4 of my bigger chilli plants

Started some strawberrys, oregano, red basil should have some strawbs by August time

Today I have a busy day. Chiro and naturopath both. My oldest's teacher freaked out when I told him the naturopath has him going on two new meds. Apparently when a general physician prescribes things it's ok to take it blindly, but if it's someone that doesn't use pharmaceuticals, people get all weird...

I'm thinking about doing some work on the house in between apts... possibly working on the new site some more.
