I wish I could go self employed so easily, the idea of working for myself scares the shit out of me (not the working so much as the massive bureaucracy I would have to pander too, and the possibility of burning what little decent work history I have and never finding a job again)

That's why a lot of people abuse it and a lot of people move here. If you work under 16 hours a week you are eligible, even full time workers earning under 10k get some sort of government supplement. I'm pretty sure it's because we don't have tax returns like you do.

He actually made something tonight, so if I big him up and the business potential then I have moderate hopes that this business will be a nice little earner.

 

Went grocery shopping by myself finally. It is so overwhelming shopping here. So much mexican and polish food, more than half not in english. It is nice living in such a culturally diverse city though.

Today I bought a dwarf hamster. Said multiple prayers for my grandpa who is having surgery on his heart. Went to lunch with my cousin and her boyfriend. Paroused the streets of sacramento with a coffee in hand. Cleaned house. And am now gonna go to the gym. Then catch the 10:30 showing of Eat Love and Pray. Woop!

 

I spent a bunch of time today fixing snowblowers ...its much funner now than when its snowing out

also made a deal for another lawn tractor...I keep selling them and buying them like its an addiction...this one will be about my 25th

 

Worked for 5 hours now heading to the shops for some new jeeeaaaaans!

got a Vinyl Festival on this weekend... going to spend way to much money there

YESTERDAY I went to the ISle of Wight AND ITS AMAZING I went to the Isle Of Wight Glass place and its aammaaazzinnnggg. I know all of you will hate me for this but now I can't decide what I want to do AGAIN. Glass or ceramics. Glass or freakin ceramics. I'll do my diss on education+art but I HATE BEING FICKLE

Oh and I walked up to the needles too. Walking back down the cliff edge I thought I was going to fall off... minor panic but for good bloomin reason!!

 

They're some pretty impressive cliffs.


I'm study, study, studying.
Exam tomorow, and so much other shit to complete/ study for/ catch up on.

Ah yes, sorry, my mistake ^^

 

I need to read a book today. And then another tomorrow. ............. Procrastinating Sarah procrastinates.

 

My husbands stranded in the middle of nowhere because of a diversion, feel a bit sorry for him, fuck knows how he's going to get home, if he can get home, last bus to here is at 5pm. I washed the glass plates that belong to my stacked tables, did the washing up and now I think I might tidy up.

 

Today i bought a tent, its my friends 21st and he is having a music festival themed party in the field behind his house, so he invited everyone down to camp, there will be music, food and good company on saturday and of course the weather forecast is for heavy rain

 

sounds like an amazing birthday party despite rain!


I had a very productive day: finished up a painting at our high school with students, went to 3 meetings, visited 4 homes for some random saint's holiday and ate bread, drank coffee (5 times, whoa!) then had 2 more meetings, ate out at a cafe with some friends, and am home writing up posters for our summer camp. I love being busy!! Finally!
