I definitely want to go out and see my friends, though. It's become more or less phallic these days, we never miss the festival. Always the same group.

Cell diffusion is really simple once you understand it buddy, keep at the revision with good breaks.

I was told to learn 7 things, then have a break. Allegedly the human brain cannot comprehend more than 7 things at a time, if you want to learn them well and not just briefly remember them anyways.

I am supposing you're learning about facilitated diffusion, normal diffusion and osmosis. Facilitated involves protein markers that help pass through various substances through a membrane

normal diffusion is just passing through a membrane

osmosis is basically the same but it's the movement of water in plants.

I think osmosis is diffusion of water across any kind of membrane. ie: reverse osmosis

and you're wrong, it's a semi permeable membrane. I just didn't want to go into huge detail, i'm not into writing long posts too often.

Reverse osmosis is completely different and not learnt in school, or at least not in mine. It's a forced osmosis we use to purify water to drink (as an example). It acts more like normal diffusion where the substance travels from high to low concentrations, however.


End of, point og osmosis is that it cannot be any kind of membrane, it has to be so that only water can pass through it, and not let any other water soluble products pass into cells. If it was any membrane our cells would probably get clogged and turgid and we would probably inflate in size or they would simply explode, I imagine

Strangely enough, I didn't start smoking until after high school. But I wasn't a young pup for long. I did glance at wikipedia to confirm my initial thought, but I guess I didn't focus on the 'semi permeable membrane' bit. (I'm a lazy over simplifier too) :cheers2:
