I have a teenager. The way I look at it, I only have a few years left with my kiddo at home, so I am willing to sacrifice whatever is needed to make her last years at home happy ones.
I had a stepmom like you. When I was 16 she made my dad decide between us...he chose her. My relationship with my dad 17 years later is still screwed up because of that.
Your stepson deserves to have a home where he feels loved, secure and accepted and it is your obligation as a step parent to help create that enviroment. You don't need to act like his mom, but you do need to grow up and realise that you have a responsibility to this young man, that you accepted this responsibility when you moved in with his father. If you can't handle being a stepmom, then find a mate without any kids.

Today I got up early ( 9am) to have a full day in the glass hot shop Was all pumped up and ready to go. I was in there for two hours, I made 4 or 5 things but they all fucked up at the last minute!!! They all were ruined. So was on a major downer after about 11/12am.

Had some lunch, had a meeting with my old tutor, and talked about my essay and my new lecture tutor. He agreed I shouldn't worry about it, or the books, but just have some ideas flying around. Start doing some research, when my lecture tutor emails back after leaving me in the lurch. So I'm a little wobbly after that.

I go back into glass at 1, and made a decent vase. Success!! That made me happy : ) So the following ones were good too one fell off the iron but I saved it, but I'll have to do some work on it after I get back from up norf. The last one I did was.. Well. Ended my day nicely It was a great shape, and I have learned now when to know to stop So when I get back from the bfs I'll get some pics of my work for you lot to have a look at : )

whoooo. so, i am hopefully going to be coming into some money soon, because my classmate and i are presenting our research at a convention. that's right, along with being a horrible step-girlfriend, i am also a trail blazing intellectual. yep, gonna be a professor one day. just feel like tootin' my own horn. just got off work, and eatin a delicious meal that my sweetie made. smokin' a blizzy!

Gonna try and make some mommy friends since we'll likely be here for another entire school year. But I don't carry a pocket mirror in my van for the exclusive use of making sure my hair/make up is perfect for my child's sake... so wish me luck.
