happy arthurs day everybody, i got free beer today even though i dont drink, and i also got a free docking station for my ipod cause i won a guitar hero comp in the pub as part of the celebrations

 

Got an electric shock today that probably should have been bad but it wasn't then found out my old school mate I haven't seen in years (cheese) lives next door to my nan. Then I had a bit of a bonfire with my bro and we ate pizza.

The electricity incident is as follows for anyone with a passing interest in electrician thingies........

I was swapping out some old wylex "domino" rewireable fuses for MCB's at my nans house because the lights went the other day and scared the shit out of her. So anyway I'm doing this little 5 minute job, just uncrew the backplate things and screw on the new one because the pin positions are slightly different etc, when I notice that there is no connection between the CCU and the supply earth, nor was there one to the gas pipe where it should have been (i.e. next to the gas meter.) So i decide to pull the cover off the consumer unit and have a look, and as far as I can tell there is no earth, so I decide not to bother my nan too much and just come back tommorow and correct this, so I start to put the cover back on and the switch is in the way, so I put the cover down, and then I'm like "hey, that switch is on, I must have knocked it on when I was trying to put the cover on, good job I noticed" the thing was that is wasn't switched on, it's just that the on / off label is a bit ambiguous when the cover is off (read "backwards") so the consumer unit is now switched on, and being an ancient wylex model it has nice wide exposed busbars, which I promptly shoved my finger into. Suffice to say several important lessons have been learned, and if I had been touching the gas pipe I would probably not be typing this right now.

 

i'm sooooooo tired. at work with about 4 solid hours of sleep. but, it was worth it. buju banton was one of the best performers that i have ever witnessed!!! plus, gramps morgan from morgan heritage was there. and and and! matisyahu is gonna be here in nov along with cocoa tea, anthony b and capleton!

 

Depressed as fuck, found that the assorted cash in my pocket came to 100 quid so I'm thinking I may piss it up the wall tonight, there arn't many places you can go for a drink on your own on a friday night anymore.

don't know really, woke up like it, thinking about people and wasting the day. It normaly takes me getting really depressed befor i can be bothered to do anything to benefit myself.

 

i hate waking up in that mood, ruins my day. the best thing to do is to go back to sleep and start all over.

I just wrote a paper on sleep deprivation...while sleep deprived. argh. I think it might be interesting to stay up for as long as I can to record the psychological effects. The world record is 12 days? I think. I bet I could beat that. Hmmmmmm.....maybe then I could get and A in my biopsychology class.

I got up an hour ago and sat outside for a bit. just threw on some clothes and made some coffee. I can't find my slouch boots from last spring but I'm wearing tights for the first time in ages! The rain cleared up and it is the most gorgeous day, I'm going to go the art store to buy a canvas and some more paints and then painting outside! at 6 I'm doing styling for my friend's shoot (with an SG photographer lulz). Maybe I can convince her to let me do dreads now she's going all suicide girl

 

I'd go for a drink with you if you lived hereI am lonely tonight. husband is working, everyone is out partying but I couldn't get anyone to babysit. I may do some art and have tidying to do. so lame for a Friday night. I'll be woken up at about 3 to the noise of people coming home from the pub.
in good new though, one of my best friends is coming home from a 4month trip. I just realized how much I missed her the past week. It's been a long summer without her and am dying to get her caught up with whats been going on!

 

I just got royally fucked by paypal and will likely have to wait over an entire month for this month's pay. I am fucked. Fucking assholes...

Why is my account flagged on the day I'm to get my payment?? I have no idea. They tell me it's because I have a large payment coming in and then I send it to a different paypal address.

I get my payment from ebay and I send half of the money to my biz partner. boy that's gotta really make some ppl curious. Fuckers!!!!

I was productive but boring today; cleaned my house spotless, including the fun jobs of washing walls and cleaning the oven. Now I'm relaxing with a cuppa chai tea, enjoying the autumn sunshine pouring through my window, thinking about planting some tulip bulbs so I can play in the dirt at least one more time before the frost....yep, gonna do that and take some of my herbs to root them in pots for the winter.

 

went to the art store and got two canvasses, 2 brushes, and 5 colors... it was like $80 but I feel like I got a good deal on everything. making a cheese tortilla with pickle n lettuce and then painting! I want to do an Indian scene...
which reminds me, I saw seven years in tibet last night and it was pretty good, it was uplifting.

 

i just took my drug test. so that means about 4-5 days til i can smoke! also, i drank wayyyyy too much water wayyyy too late. i have a shy bladder, but now that the test is over, i'm pissin' like a race horse.

 

Went out to lunch just now....ate way to much and my tummy hurts. Now I have to prepare a slideshow presentation on schizophrenia....blah blah blah

 

my friend just called. yey she's home! I cannot wait to see her tomorrow. were catching up with lots of wine. SO much has happened since she's been gone and I'm scared to tell her all of it, her reaction will be huge! I was close to telling her on the phone but want to see her reaction and she was off to bed after a lot of travelling. I didn't want her tossing and turning like I was when I first heard. I am watching Joan Rivers and realli wanting to have a late night scoff but am quitting late night eating.
