What are you/have you been doing today?

today i'm going to hang out with some friends and paint a bed

I fell asleep to top gear and woke up to two dudes hooking up on torchwood(i think thats what i heard going on lol)

 

we use to have free local channels till the government decided to change it to hd or w/e they did so now you have to buy this stupid box thingy that costs way more than a set of bunny ears for the tv. I remember having to turn the big antenna's when i was kid i thought it was fun lol.


I dont think i would mind paying for a tv license if it means i dont have to deal with commercials (they make me want to stab the tv constantly)

 

mandy, the reggae scene is not very big here. the last time israel vibrations came was years ago. i want matisyahu to come, now that i finally got his new album. it's way different than the others.
anyways, yay for returned kittehs, and HF love.
today i am fucking annoyed by this assignment that i have to turn in online. also, i have to build a bookshelf today, and figure out why i don't have my foodstamps yet.

 

Sadly the no commercial thing only apply to the BBC which is four channels. The license is £138 a year on top of any sky/cable/etc fees. So yeah I'm paying £138 for four channels I don't even watch. They can fine you £1000 if they find out you're watching TV without a license.

Tomorrow is is my second wedding anniversary. I am really excited. We're not doing anything special coz of money issues so we're gonna order indian food and watch the time traveler's wife. Super excited he's bought me a beautiful watch and I have another surprise coming.... I think it's a bouquet of lillies coz I had lillies on the day. I want to knowwwwwwwww

Vig I am jealous you can hand in assignments online. I had to travel 15 miles to hand in mine and they were always on days I had no classes

On the terrestrial channels for teh UK there is bbc 1, bbc 2, itv, channel 4 and c.5. You know the bbcs, itv is for Corrie and atm there is 'Dickinson's real deal' which sort of sums that channel up, C4 has half decent documentaries and BigBrother, and C5 is well known for its late-night nudity and sex (which unfortunately is rare nowadays) and for dumbed-down news and documentaries about "The most dangerous reptiles in the world". Sorry if you are offended if you like channel 5 xD

Most of us though are converting to freeview, you buy and £30 freeview box and you get manymany channels ^^ Not as many as sky or satellite but like sunflower said, the bbc channels have more value than all of the satellite channels ^^

Yesterday I went to see my uni room and was dissapointed because it was smaller than I remember... so I'm stressing about beds and things to move in with. Do I keep the single bed and sleep on the floor with bf when he is over? Do I get a sofa bed with the foam bed bit instead? Or do I get a small double bed? I am quite claustrphobic and get stressed when I don't have enough room, so I think the sofa bed would be the best option, it is easy to pull out and put away and I can keep my bedding in it so it wont take much effort. Then again, wasted effort? The small double will save time and a little space as opposed to the normal double... GAH I am soooo overreacting xD Gah long post 0.o

yeah i agree, I had a futon as a bed for about a year. killed my back. whatever you do, get a real bed, whether it be double or single

 

all the futons they sell around here have fluffy ass mats

Today I have to find some pretty pictures of flowers for installment number 2 of my tat which will be next saturday! Anybody have any pretty flower pictures? The flowers are going around a sugar skull thats colored in mexicany folk colors....bright turqouise, blues, oranges, and reds. If you have any ideas post em here or send me a pm!

Brew, should I still get the proper matress one instead of the compactible foam one? I know the foam one may flatten over the year but its from ebay so its cheap and won't be too expensive to replace.. Gah I don't know Sorry to rant xD just sorting my thoughts out. With the matress bed I would be encouraged to spend time outside of my room, which is good... and I can think of places to put the wardrobe and shelves... hummm... I over complicate things 0.o

 

I dont know much about the compactible foam one. but just think, you'll be sleeping on the thing every night, it is an investment. you'll have the thing for years. so if you can afford it, it's not sonething to skimp on. I believe you definitely get what you pay for.

Also having an awesome day, wen't to the cinema but the film was an hour later than it said, so me and me mate went to play pool, brought another 4 gig of ram for my PC, lost 700 gig of data, brought some really nice pipe tobacco and the smell reminds me of something but i cant remember what it is, and it was fucking sunny!

 

i tried to tell you you wouldn't get back from finding something to eat last night
