What are you/have you been doing today?

just doing homework, writing, readingt etc. bout to get off work, and....i am finally smoking herb again. i can't tell you how happy that makes me.

He has funny quirks like snapping his jaw... it almost makes a popping noise and he does it only to get our attention. lol I posted the pic of him with hubby so you could see the size of him.

 

i had a pretty shitty day so far. i woke up feeling sick, i just found out were going to be homeless in 9 days, i'm watching a katrina documentary that is pretty depressing. I'm about to start doing some airbrushing, maybe that will make me happy

 

Really sorry to hear that BrainDecay. Hope things will look up. Is there nothing you can do to negotiate eviction?

went to this organic/local BYOB restaurant last night with the hub, bro in law from SF and his gf. drank a ton of wine went home got high and played games. made a HUGE breakfast and now going swimming! probably cooking dinner tonight....

oh and I sold one of my old textbooks! made $50!

 

not really a traditional eviction. i was living down south and my roomates that were sharing bills with us sold pretty much all of my shit one day and took off to wherever they went to. had to pay off all our bills and rent, which took almost all my money. i had court up north and had to travel with a carnival for a few weeks to get enough money to make it there. once we got back to jersey, and done with my court the state hooked it up with social services to let us stay in a motel until we could get a apartment. thing is the social worker never actually did anything for placing us and my fiance and i aren't too good at doing the dirtbag thing. i've been selling artwork and she has been waitressing. the social worker saw me wearing a cheeburger cheeburger shirt that i got for free when they opened and called because "she suspected i had a job" when they found out we had been making money they told us today that we are getting kicked out in ten days.

we've lived on the road before, but this is our first time that we wont have a car, so its kind of different. also not having a place to stay will be a VOP and i might end up having to go to jail over this. unfortunately we are stuck in one of the highest cost of living counties in new jersey (probation wont let us leave county) and dont have nearly enough saved to get an apartment.
monday we have to call a group that specializes in probono cases against the state for wellfare fraud and denial cases, but that usually takes a few months to get sorted out.

and thats my past 6 months in a nutshell

 

Wow that sucks! i suggest you watch something less depressing! I hate lose lose situations like this! Is there not someone you can crash with untill you get a job?

 

They sound like some pretty vile mates and shitty that you're getting in trouble for trying to stay above the water in your obviously shitty position. Socials are generally crap. Currently they are chasing us to recalculate our benefits because my husband used his loan protection when he could not afford to pay the repayments while he was rendundant. I really hope that you and your fiance are able to get through this.

Is there no hostels you can go to? That's where I spent a year when I was homeless.

 

i wish there were hostels. the area we are in, the average small home starts at 500,000, most are over a million. a condo runs at least 300,000. there isnt much in the ways of inexpensive options. the only "shelter" type homing we can get is if i get my fiance pregnant, and then i probably wont be able to stay there, just her.

it sucks because we would be fine if we werent stuck here, but the most inexpensive apartments we can find in this county are around 1000 a month, and we dont have 2500-3000 dollars to move in with.

i'm good at getting by, so hopefully things will work out. i just hate transition periods of not knowing

 

If you do have to go to jail, don't get her pregnant. You may need a home for her to stay if you have to do time but at the same time there'll be a baby needing it's daddy.

I really do feel for you though, I was in the exact same position four years ago. I've built my life up from a bin bag of clothes and nothing else. In four years I have obtained a degree found a home and now have the opportunity to better myself. I survived it and I know you will too.

 

Thank you again for the wonderful comments about Roman!!! Again... We LOVE HIM sooo much! He is pretty darn perfect in every way except motion sickness and not coming back to his name yet (cuz the old owners didn't walk him). I feel so safe with him always...

braindecay - that's harsh! If your county doesn't have any type of shelters to house you, they should have something set up with a neighbouring community so that people that have troubles can access them. So sorry to hear of your situation.

got a felony possession cuz they combined both stashes in the car an charged me with both (i had a little less then an oz of sour diesel and wifey had a little less then an oz sensi star), which equaled like 4 grams over felony possession in jersey, which is only 50 grams. we both claimed up but they refused to separate them cuz dispite the fact we are almost a medical state, its basically the highest priority conviction around here.

also gave a friend of mine a ganja lollypop which got turned over to a narco, and dispite the fact that it only had about a .02 of BHO hashoil in it, i got charged with over an oz but under 5 lbs distribution.

best part of the probation thing is i had pled out for 12 mos probation, with the ability to move, since i had already been out of state at sentancing, but my judge retired and the new guy gave me jailtime and trippled my probation and wont let me leave the county.

kind of why i'm stressed out over this whole losing my housing thing, charges carry 6 1/2 years jail time, so if i get a VOP i might have to do state time, and i'm not really feeling that.

 

thats fucked up man, the lengths they go to to persecute a reefer smokin beatnik. i got two years probation for about 1.5 grams of weed because i had bags and a scale. is what it is and i'll be glad when its over. plus they also took about 2k in college money just cuz it was in my locked safe with the scale. they said it was drug money and i;ll never get it back. and when they searched my room they took 3 bowls and a leatherman and about $100 never made it on the evidence list. thieving bastards.

itll be somethign to laugh about when its all behind me, but still i have to do drug tests. so fuck tha man!

 

yea, they took a bunch of shit out of our car that never made it into any lists, they took a ken onion knife and gave me a weapons charge for it, but they left another knife on my seat which was much larger (both under legal limits) the charges were dropped, but i never got my $60 dollar knife back.

funny thing is they took a black and mild because thats "paraphanalia." but they took a box of dutch masters out of our glove box and left them on the seat. i love smoking blacks, but i wouldnt smoke a dutch if you had a gun to my head.

after probation its cali or bust, where i'm not a felon on job applications, and I can legally use my skills and my medicine.

keep your chin up. i'm looking at this as some time to get my shit together. i'm getting fit, like training for a triathlon. i could never do this when i was smoking. i'm getting back in school and working on my art so i can go pro.

yea, i've been spending a lot more time doing things i never really spent a lot of time on when i was smokin.
spent most of this afternoon sprayin a grateful dead skull with multicolored dreads, lightning bolt avaitor shades and an american flag tophat. i didnt use any masking or anything, totally freehand so its a bit rough, but its on newsprint anyway. i think i'm going to spray it on my minifridge but i'm not sure yet.

been doing a lot of jewelry/beads for my hair too, and i want to teach myself how to do wire wraps, but i think i want to learn about stones first. all i know as of now is that shiny things are pretty, but i want to learn about the aura and all that ish about what the stones mean and can contribute to the wearer before i start so that i can make things that are more then just pretty.

btw, those paintings are sick! I'll have to borrow a camera from a friend and post up some of mine, the webcam doesnt really do anything justace and thats all i have
