Wanted to add that I'm not attacking or anything, just explaining how your comments can be perceived and how I perceived them.

no i'm not trying to get you mad. but, if you say something to the effect of "i say 'n' and i don't understand why people get offended", you better be ready to argue your point, instead of passing the buck by telling someone to email you.
and yes, i would guess you are young. very young.

What happened to him if you don't mind me asking? Wasn't he a rescued puppy mill dog? Or was that someone else?

well, the whole "give him away" was just my man being frustrated.
he got very sick, a digestive thing. and unfortunately we couldn't pay for any treatment really. i was able to take him home with some anitbiotics and do sub-cutaneous fluids on him. but, he was suffering so much. i couldn't even afford euthanasia, so i had to take him to the shelter to have them do it. i feel horrible, and i miss him sooooo much. but, i guess it was meant to be for some reason.

    Ahh that's sad :(

we had to put a dog down when I was a kid, he was a gorgeous black lab. He was hit by a car and had to have a leg amputated, and after that he was messed up. His whole personality changed. He got aggressive and bit my dad, and I was young so the rents were worried for my safety. Lots of tears.

a couple years ago when we had to put my beautiful Siberian Husky down.. the vet who came to inject her completely fucked up and couldn't hit the vein after like 5 tries.. I had to hold the dog down while my dad (who is a nurse) had to be the one to do it.

    sorry for your loss.

between me and my friends (black, white, or otherwise) its the same as saying bro, homie, etc. (speaking of nigga, not ******, which have two completely different tones to them)
Its not meant to be cute or clever or any of the above, its just the way we talk. Personally, for me, its from the people/area I grew up in. Its not meant to provoke or sound cool or whatever, its just natural, the same way anyone's words/way of talking are influenced by the area they grew up in.

At the same time, its also something used between friends, where there's no chance of its meaning being confused. And what me and my friends say to each other is really no one else's business.

I hate the whole 'n' word issue, if black people can use it then we all should be able to use it. I personally don't as it just doesn't fall into my daily life. I think there are a lot more horribly offensive words that should be more of a taboo to say such as 'retarded' I hate when people use that word so flippantly. In reality though you never know what people are going to get offended by. bla

anyway, vig so sorry about your pup that is realli realli sad:(

I just got back from a HOT jog. with the dreads down, guy yelled at me from the highway (trail runs under the highway) and scared the shiz out of me. drinking coconut milk and going to shower and see Bruno.

need to pick up a big canvas and go grocery shopping.

also I think I'm going to try to quit smoking -- again. cutting back for now then prob quitting at the end of summer.

yeah, I really need to. I feel guilty every time I have a cig, and my bf already quit because he has asthma. I quit for a month once and 3 months another time. I don't smoke all day but I smoke a lot in the evenings esp. when I'm drinking. My lungs need healing. I figure if I exercise every other day it won't be too hard since I really don't want to smoke right now after jogging.

When I quit before, I thought of my dad saying "what does it add to your life?" every time I had a craving. He hates smoking.

Good luck to you zilla. I think I'm just about at the two month mark. I used to smoke the most when drinking and was very nervous about drinking for this reason (it has been the reason I started back up on more than one occassioN). Sooooo this time what i do is buy a pack of those tiny cigars and use those when I'm drinking. I know it's not good, but I'm not smoking cigarettes and in the morning I do not want to smoke anymore. I'm surprised it's working for me, but it is. :D

yeah, I may just do a cigar every now and then. I smoked hookah a few times when I quit for the three months and it was working till I went to the beach... then I bought a pack.

I want to be able to drink without worrying about caving. blech cigs sound so gross right now since I sweated every thing out and all... I'm considering doing the master cleanse or something similar to help me quit unhealthy habits.

I had a make do dinner of "grilled" haloumi and nando's sauce. Only I don't have a grill so I used the oven. It didn't have the effect I was hoping for like when I bbq it and it started sweating. When I chewed the cheese it sounded like 1000 teeny yapping chihuahuas had been unleashed in my mouth. Oh and I have to fork out £90 for professional family photo's Wednesday because the damn photo company won't let me have individual prints AND family prints for any lower. It's either pay for 7 photo's I don't need of the family and me or just have individual prints. Bastards.
