That's what I had for dinner tonight: veggies simmered with canned tomatoes & coconut milk, curry, ginger & cayenne, served over rice. It was yum-eee!

I've always preferred acrylics but that's just my opinion. You could either draw out a rough design on a canvas/other surface, or just have at it and let your imagination do all the work. I'm sure you'll find your own way to go about it :cheers2:

    Sas pu tu

I guess I will have to brag about our awesome day.

So today me and my lover went to the international food festival, then watched some live music, then ate delicious ice cream, then we went to a record store, then went home and chaos made homemade pizza, then we watched a movie

    sweet day

today I went to work, then went to see transformers 2 for the second time. Boring day, but I like that movie. One of the previews was a movie called '2012' looks really good. It's about the end of the world, december 21, 2012. I doubt the world is gonna end, but the movie looks really good.

I agree, I prefer acrylics. I have a bunch of oil paints I rarely use, I just don't like them as much and I often end up smearing them because they never fucking dry. I love acrylic paint though, use it all the time.

    ^^ of your home?

I painted some ugly ass cabinets a more agreeable shade, ate pretzels and hummus, and watched the Royal Tenenbaums with my lover and a girl friend...and I'm really tired now so I'm going to pass out.

I like acrylics but prefer oils, I find the colours a lot deeper. I also love dripping spirits down my oil paintings and seeing how they change. they do take ages to dry but there are other oils and varnishes you can by that dry up quicker. acrylics are ok but too plastic-y for my liking.

I think that once mastered, oils will give superior results and feel more alive. For starting out though, acrylics will be a faster and more practical way for you to figure out whether you want to persue this more seriously. Just buy yourself maybe some primary colours and maybe a black and white too. One of the major drawbacks of acrylics is their drying speed, which is fast and can make it hard to blend and work an area of paint as much as you want to... you can buy a gel retardent medium to mix into the paint, which gives you a little more work time, permitting smoother blending.

Do you know what sorts of paintings you may be doing?
