Tonight we are doing the absinthe thing and then finishing off the Newcastle's from the Laker game. It is only Wednesday after all.

 

A dram or two of a 12 yr old single Malt non of that Bells blended Whiskey crap a good botle of Glenfidich for me

 

Half a bottle of Gordons vodka and several high lifes with a few genuine drafts tossed in.

As of two weeks ago, we here in Alabama are finally able to drink hi grav brews w/o driving to GA to get them. Just took an old growler bottle over to the restaurant where I work and filled it w/ Terrapin Brewery's Wake n' Bake Coffee Stout. If you can find it outside of the southeast get it. Not the best EVER, but a damn good offering all the same.They use hempseed in the malt and add shade-grown Venezuelan coffeebeans to the dry-hop bag

 

i dont like vodka much, but gordons i'm cool with. its cheap and its smooth. i generally go with gordons or seagrams for vodka. imo, expensive vodka is stupid. all the money seems to go to image. i mean, yeah, some vodka is obviously better than others, but quality has NEVER seemed to be consistent with price in my experiences with vodka. grey goose i found harsh and nasty. belvedere i found better, but not much better than something like gordons or seagrams, which are a third the price.

they both make decent cheap gin, too, but i am a little more picky with gin than vodka.

oh shit, my dad just walked down at 1:30, and I'm a little too drunk, but he didn't notice.

but yeah, it's either leftovers of jacquins vodka or blue wave vodka from senior week

rediscovered my love for cava recently

 

i finally found some strohs here in bloomington! i haven't had it since i moved here nearly a year ago, with the exception of spring break back in ohio. i can only get cases here, but lucky for me strohs is cheap - 15 bucks for a case of 30 at walmart
