excellent, excellent choice! one of my very favorite IPAs. highly recommended. this is an incredible brew.

tonight i'm currently sipping wild turkey with vernors. i'm not much for soda usually, but this turned out to be a very nice drink!

after this, i have a bomber of stone IPA

This weekend was a case of Merry Monks, case of Ruination IPA, and a case of Dead Guy. I thought my cousin said he was picking up a few bottles, not over $100.00 worth of them!

Last time I had blackhaus, I woke up the next morning with my pillow covered in blood, a slice in the side of my head, a throbbing headache and no idea what had happened. Good stuff! Cheers :D

I think I'm going to give Jimmy Buffet's Land Shark beer a chance! I hear it's like Corona but without the bitter bite at the end.

Just bought a bottle of rum, Ron Anejo Anniversario Pampero. Its pretty fucking good, I don't have any coke so I'm just sipping it. I do have Dr.Pepper though, anyone know if it is any good with rum?

I was wondering about that beer. I've been seeing it at the stores around here lately. Corona is the first thing I thought of when I saw the bottles, but I had no idea Jimmy Buffet had anything to do with it.

Dominion's Spring Buck (a blonde ale). I had some Absolut earlier with some friends and now its time to just kick back and watch a good show. Maybe smoke a little bud later, who knows.

    G' night all.

    steel reserve :(

oh, being broke isn't all that bad. i got a twelve pack, so its the little cans, which are much easier to drink before they get warm, and it cost less than 7 bucks for the twelve pack, and a twelve pack of this shit is like a whole case of miller lite or something....so i guess its not all bad....

God I have the worst memory. All I remember is there was this absolutley amazing beer spot on a corner in NE Philly, Im talking wall to wall of the best selection of beer I've ever witnessed with my own eyes. Beer's I have only dreamed existed, were at my disposal. Sadly, all I recall is the Rogues Red. And if that is a sad thing, you know I was drinking top of the line. Well, back to being broke!

have you ever had foret relayer?

anyway, i'm pretty broke, so its cheap beer for me. though last night i went a LITTLE less cheap than the steel reserve i got the other day....

got me a 6 pack of 16 oz cans of high life for less than 5 bucks, along with some groceries. a few days worth of food and the six pack cost me 12 bucks. i spent a further dollar (foolishly) on a scratch card. luckily the card is worth 10 bucks, so its almost like i only had to pay three bucks for my groceries last night :) hurray, i now know i'll be able to make it to friday.

i'll have thirty bucks in cash once i get it exchanged for money.....more than enough for gas and a couple 40s to last through thursday night :)

pointless update: collected my ten dollars and promptly went to a carry out to which i'd never been, hoping to get a couple forties of OE or better yet Schlitz Red Bull :D didnt have either...only like budweiser and stuff in forties...

but no big deal, cause i used it as an excuse to get something else...i mean, i got a tall boy of olde english for the sake of pricing, but also a 24oz bottle of becks...becks isnt amazing or anything, but it beats the hell out of malt liquor or high life...one of my preferred macro imports

i highly recommend it! it wont be your favorite if your all time favorite is st rogues....its a much more delicate and less assertive flavor....though it is at least as complex and delicious. while it is not the quintessential saison by any means, its hands down my favorite (and saison is just about my favorite style)

my best friend lives in the seattle area, and they have a local brew by elysian brewing company called Avatar Jasmine IPA...now last time i went out there i got to sample a small amount and just fell in love with it. course i was a bit tipsy already so i can't say for sure how much i remember, but i remember it being really very tasty, though not nearly as hoppy as i anticipated (probably scaled back on it to let the jasmine flavor shine through...still called it an IPA though)

shes saying she might be able to send some out to me since its not available way out here at all....i really hope she does....i'm giddy at the mere prospect of being able to give it a taste again, particularly when sober so i may assess it more accurately...plus the name is just cool :p

i get paid late tomorrow night, direct deposit (well, technically friday morning) and i have enough cash left to afford a pint of sailor jerry's spiced navy rum (at 92 proof, with flavors of caramel and cherry its just about the only spiced rum i'll drink, and its got a nice pricetag, too....about 8 bucks for a pint and 15.30 for a fifth)

i also got two 40s of schlitz red bull, my favorite malt liquor...one for tonight, one for tomorrow....i find it the least offensive tasting as well as just about the most affordable strong malt liquor....mickeys tastes better, really, but is significantly less strong and about double the cost

it would be hard to ask for more ghetto packaging though. looks a lot worse than it is:

the current red bull incarnation is the second on the left. its 7.1%ABV, so its not far off from OE in terms of strength, but i find it more drinkable.

regular schlitz malt liquor has the blue colored bull and is much weaker, for the same price. never tried it. if i'm going this cheap (less than 2 bucks a 40) i'm also going strong. bull ice is stronger than red bull, but i've not seen it available here.

it definitely far surpasses steel reserve....yuck!

still, i think on friday i might treat myself to a bomber of foret. but i'll supplement it with cheap beer. i need to limit my spending...i'm broke right now because i let high living catch up with my bank account...good beer or spirits every night, fine cigars, eating out, and so on.

need to start saving some cash!
