    Well, I live in Las Vegas, and every Friday, the local classic rock radio station has what they call free beer Friday. They give away a free case of beer every hour to the 9th caller when prompted. Actually, this is partly sponsored by Budweiser and what you receive from the radio station is a gift card for $23.66 from a big liquor store here in town. I still dont understand why the amount is what it is, because Budweiser is not that expensive. Anyway, the gift card has a sticker on the front that says "To be used for Bud products only". Well, I just peel that sticker off and then use the gift card for whatever. I got me a case of Becks and a bag of chips and I still have enough money left on the card for another 6 pack. And yes, noyhing tastes better than frre beer. And I do love my Becks. :<))

    its alright. not bad by any stretch, just rather ordinary. but still a good and quaffable beer....

    I'm drinking Kirov vodka with lemonade (the clear one, not the yellow one) and it's actually pretty tasty, considering the cheap vodka. Just like normal lemonade with a nice vodka tang at the end of it, if you know what i mean.

    hey, if you like lemonade....sometime you should try either making homemade lemonade or else the canned frozen concentrated lemonade, but using absolut citron or absolut mandarin in place of some of the water!

    I know this one person in the UK who said she had a mushroom that you could use to make lemonade with(I still dont understand this one), and she said she liked to drink Rossi and lemonade. I have never tried it though.

    mushroom tea is often flavored to make it more palatable. personally i like to use a strong black or herbal tea to flavor it, but the tea will keep for a little while refridgerated, so you could prepare it unflavored and then use it instead of water to make lemonade.

    That sounds like a good idea. I've had an aversion to absolut mandarin ever since i drank a whole bottle straight and puked my guts out, but absolut citron is good with yellow lemonade. Absolut vanilla is also excellent with coke. Pretty much vanilla coke with that vodka tang.

    But yeh, i think i'll make some lemonade with absolut citron. I'll post up results if i ever get around to making it.

    I like a spoon of milo or honey in my mushy tea.

    my mother made lemonade with the absolut citron once, and let me tell you its delicious!

    tonight though i'll be drinking a couple sierra nevada pale ales. hadn't tried them until last night. went pretty well with a cuban cigar.

    it will take every bit of willpower to not smoke one of my other two cubans within the week....my folks just went to canada and brought back three for me. two partagas coronas (i believe somewhere around 5X40 and 5X42 measurements, but i'm sure its -slightly- different than one of those) and a romeo y julieta romeo 2 tubo.....

    had one of the partagas cigars last night - it was fantastic! i'm trying to hold on to the other two smokes for a special occasion or something though. or at least to not smoke them all immediately......


    i hate needing willpower...

    I think what you're referring to is kombucha. It's not quite the psychadelic type of shrooms. They sell kombucha drinks that are flavored and you can grow a mushroom out of it and use it to make your own drinks.

    The other type of mushroom tea, I really like the taste of it the way it is.

    well i only gave it one run, and the results were somewhat disappointing. my goal was to make a liqueur that met three characteristics....

    1) it had to be tasty enough to drink either alone or mixed with soda water. "green dragon" recipes tend to imply that the stuff tastes foul as all get out
    2) it had to get you stoned, or else the pot would have gone to waste
    3) while being capable of getting you stoned, it had to be low enough in THC content that you could also sip it for a while and get a good alcohol buzz at the same time

    the results were so-so and inconclusive. it WAS in fact tasty enough to drink. i drank it rather quickly, in fact. in general it was best as a mixer, though. perhaps its too much to hope for a cannabis liqueur that would taste good AND do the trick.

    as for the second point, here is where things get hazy. if it was very effective at delivering the THC, it was still too low in in the cannabinoids. nothing except very mild pot buzzes were detectable with only a couple shots, and by the time any serious high could come on i was shitfaced from the booze. since this is one of the most important aspects, the recipe could have been considered a flop. who knows what potential is really there....perhaps i need to make some normal green dragon and work out my recipe from there....it's supposedly something that will floor you, so i probably ought to work from strong to mild rather than the other way around. i didn't like the fact that i didn't once get a great high along with an alcohol buzz throughout the entire bottle.

    as to the third point, it was achieved and then some. this has already been explained.


    while i'm still quite interested in the subject, i'm not smoking quite so much as i have in the past and am not as motivated to do this. i'd rather smoke a little or vaporize something and then have a couple drinks. if i'm looking to take marijuana orally, i'd be much more prone to making a batch of brownies. its just easier to mix the two and have a sure thing than to spend the money on experimentation with combining the two into a single item....at the time i did this i was living with my parents and didn't have to pay for rent, meals, and other things. most of the money i made was simply spending money. now i'm in an apartment and have more responsibilities - while my job offers almost unparallelled benefits for entry-level positions, it still doesn't exactly pay a lot. i can afford some beer and cigars. i'm lucky if i can also afford pot, let alone pot that i can afford to experiment with....

    next time it will probably be a jar with ground pot in it, just barely covered in a mix of everclear and a 40-50%ABV liquor (most likely vodka or brandy, possibly whisky or rum) with perhaps some coriander and orange peel. it would after the fact be diluted with a small portion of simple syrup and allowed to age a further month. would probably be mixed with equal portions of sparkling mineral water and done in two or three shots. it would be a slightly diluted, spiced version of green dragon and less palatable but likely far more effective version of my last attempt.



    as for the present moment, i just had a 500ml bottle of slightly chilled dunkel wiezen and a room temperature 500ml bottle of hefewiezen.....weihenstephaner and ayinger respectively.....with my lunch of garlic/cheese mashed potatoes. tonight i'll get down on a couple glasses of a mano 2003 primitivo wine from southern italy. don't think i've ever had italian wine before.....this was on sale and i knew little about it when i purchased the bottle, but the reviews i've seen online (and it rated 89) make it sound like it will be quite enjoyable for an 8 dollar bottle of wine.

    i've purchased newcastle in bottles three times - once it was skunked, the other two times it was damn good. i think its a great beer in general, but they'd do well to put it in brown bottles instead of clear.

    its like for me heineken in bottles tends to be skunked more often than not, but i like it ok in cans (still not a first choice)

    I went pretty nuts at the likka stoe last night, bought two 40 dollar bottles of wine, 6 pack of sierra nevada porter, 4 pack of murphy's stout, 6 pack of o'hare's stout, and a 6 pack of anchor steam beer. I only had like 6 beers in total last night.

    I have drank about 8 cans/bottles of Bud Light(blegh) and I have had a 24oz can of 211 Steel Reserve and am about to drink another 24oz can, and I have a 375ml bottle of Crown Royal, which I may or may not save for tomorrow or sometime later this week.

    Tonight i'm drinking jager and red bull (3 parts jager 1 part red bull) it's a huge improvement on the taste of regular jager.
