Because God said so... I've yet to come across a viable reason beyond that.

Sitting here just thinking of everything....Minxy cat has been staying close lately. That will be another hard loss for me. They all will be,. Who am I kidding?
She is only 4, so I hope she has many years left...my only female cat. with no teeth due to stomatitis......and cured by a holistic vet, so her mouth is no longer in pain....and she can eat whatever she wants....and she even eats hard food now, at times.....

It took me a day or two to forgive Grayson, the new kitten, after he made chop meat out of my hand. he bit me, too, the bastard.....Deep scratches were not the worry but the bite on my right pointer finger knuckle was red and swollen and I was in pain.....so luckily, I still had three amoxicillan pills here that were still good, so i took them....and the swelling and redness went away....and my hand feels normal again.
He is not a viscious kitten,. he is very cuddly....but the pugs turned him feral that day. he is a survivor. I cannot really blame him.

Finnegan cat is big and strong and ox like....and almost as old as Spanky now. He is one grumpy cat...always has been......but I love him dearly, too...and i think that is it.....After Spanky dies....I will stay with only the 3 cats, unless one just shows up at the door here.........but i don';t want anymore right now.

Grayson still stays in the guest bedroom upstairs pretty much...has his own litter box in there and that is where I feed him...he can climb over the fence to explore, if he wants to....and he does upstairs.......I had him downstairs last night for a little while to get used to the house down here, after all of the dogs went upstairs to bed. Grayson was down here with Minxy and Finny.....but then he went back upstairs to his room.....little by little, he will become part of this household, hopefully, at his own pace. i am in no hurry...and he has the freedom to do so when he is ready, if he ever is.

Minxy is getting used to him now, and goes into his room upstairs to get to know him now, and at times, they run around together up stairs, which is a good thing.

Here are two photos...orange and white cat is Spanky and then there is Grayson, the little gray and white kitten, the first day he was here.......almost two weeks ago now. of course, that was interrupted with his stay at our vets while we were away. i did not want a kitten until we got back from Cape Cod....but fate stepped in, and told me before we left for the Cape....this is your kitten..........make it work.

and I did and will, if it kills me...... :D

I went the 5 miles with the dogs on Monday....but my feet blistered up again very badly.....worse than before...after that 5 miles... , that I have had trouble just walking the last two days....Today, they feel less painful again......so i am going to try my damndest to get the dogs out for their exercise today....i am seeing a doctor tomorrow for this lichen......and I know, after the first time I had this,.....they cannot cure it.....but they may have a new cream or something that will help.....I don't know.

In various faiths, God declares many behaviors to be "sins" but for some reason, gay marriage is the thing many religious types focus on the most. Idk...

I was reading something that many Christians believe that it's something to "heal" from. But they don't think that they need to heal from their bigotry...hmmm.

Oh I know. My point is that most--if not all--people who oppose gay marriage can't tell you why. But they tell you all about God and the Bible and quotes taken out of context. They don't support it because they think God doesn't. They don't even have their own opinion on the matter.

    Agree.

And, God doesn't support their "sin" either. I just need to probably stop discussing it with them because they think they're justified so, whatever.

    Relaxing after mowing the lawn.

Found a piece of my lawn mower as I was doing it, so I had to stop and figure out where it came from.

    Yeah, happens all the time.

When I lived in SW PA I found a huge piece of my neighbor's Bush Hog blade in my yard, would'a killed me if I had been standing there when it broke off.

Back there I had this big Toro mower with a hydraulic six foot deck and four cylinder Renault engine, big as a car. Professional deal for golf courses. It was old though so things were always falling off, lost an entire blade assembly once.

So my wife made me buy a new lawn mower. A 26 HP Sears, biggest one they make, it's actually a Husqvarna.
After one year the frame cracked and I had to weld it back together. Pieces are always falling off.
This time the bolts that hold the transmission in place fell out so I had to replace them. At the same time a rod fell off the mower deck that I had previously welded back together so I just left it off.

Then today I found the mount for it in the yard. Evidently the transmission bolts also held it on.

    Good grief! That sounds dangerous.

I've always had a weird, and, what I thought to be, impractical phobia of mowers and blades firing out, but you just proved my phobia accurate.

Seriously though, mowers have always made me nervous as hell.

    Always thinking....

We had an appointment to bring Spanky to our vet today at 12:30 today, but cancelled that. I cannot do it, and Stan had a headache until he we cancelled all night long.
Every time we talked about it here, Spanky would get up, shoot us a look and walk away ....far away.....and it happened every time. I have to believe that any being that lives with you for as long as he has knows our thoughts.
Ok, here we come.....death march, and here is $75.00 to kill our beloved fur child....and we take the body home...nothing else you have to do...we will bury him here on our property which is becomming a pet cemetary anyway......

Ummm...no.....Spanky wants to go on his own terms and here with everyone he knows and loves......It is hard to watch...how he deteriorates every day....but I had to get rid of all of the voices in my head and listen to my own voice. Since when are we pet police and saying when something should die? Do we do this in the wild? there was a wild skunk outside here a few years ago......that visited near this house quite often...and he could barely walk anymore. I knew he was old and dieing....but nature finally took care of it...Did I rush outside to catch him and bring him somewhere to euthanize him....? NO!...Of course, not......and this goes on all of the time in nature.

I have only held two animals before that were euthanized......Zee...my old, grey, dieing cat like Spanky now....who still showed interest in us and life....but we brought him to the vet.....for a look over...nothing else....and they talked us into euthanizing him on the spot....We never got over it either......and maybe Grayson is Zee reincarnated......Who knows. Zee was all gray...no white, though.....and then Oscar cat, who had a transfusion and was bleeding out everywhere and after his transfusion we were called that it did not work and to come and decide....so he had to be euthanized....but that is it.

I have to listen to me...no one else and their opinions.....ever again....

i told Spanky last night to come back if he wants to.....young and happy and full of life....and that we would not bring him the vet today. He relaxed after that.

Spanky is the friendliest, happiest cat I ever had......He made friends with everyone and every animal ever brought into this house right away....never a bad day...never sad...never grumpy. I must learn from him. He has taught me many things. He is still a happy, friendly cat even in his last days......There will never be another cat like him.

I have no idea when he will take his last breath......but all I can give him anymore really is free will.

Grayson was down here last night.....running around with Minxy....exploring the entire house and all of the escape routes, after the dogs went to bed last night.......including the basement.....where I found him this afternoon.....hiding there away from the dogs. He is still not used to them,. so I caught him and brought him back upstairs to his room, where he ate like a horse. I never knew a kitten that can eat this much....never. WOW! Unbelievable....Finney is still bully, boss cat here patrolling every move the other cats make.....and making sure he gets the same morsels of food that they get at all times....lol......but Grayson is learning to co exist with him, also....It is funny to watch really. Grayson is so small, yet he holds his own....and with such attitude..."oh, you think so, do you? I will show you"

He is so smart and confident, too.....he may have me outsmarted,......we'll see....lol... At times, he is a little devil....but he has my heart, for sure., as they all do,

yesterday, I had my skin doctor appointment with a new dermatologist...and I like him! he came in the examining room looking at my feet right at the start, before even looking at my face. He has been in practice for many years.....and he put me on prednisone for 12 days..... and a cream I am supposed to lather on all day long......Not sure, I can do that.....but I took the 3 prednisone pills yesterday, as soon as getting them....and was told they give most people lots of energy....Really? they knocked me out for quite a few hours.....right to sleep and I had a headache. not sure I like prednisone....but I will finish them.....as the doctor told me my toes were all inflamed, and ew have to get rid of the inflammation....and I did have classic lichen planus.....I asked about diabetes....and he looked at me, and said..."I don;t think you have that, but we will take blood work here for the basic things.....for you , anyway..."...and they did, and will call me with all of the results when they come in.

the doctor sounded like Isaac Mizrahi...so maybe that is why I liked him so much right away...same voice, tone and everything.......

Me too, one of my earliest memories is my dad cutting his hand on a blade while trying to repair a lawnmower, he came in the house pouring blood and had to get a ton of stitches

And an aquaintance of my parents was killed when I was a kid somehow when his lawnmower tipped over on a steep hill. I think they're made now where they cut off automatically as soon as you take your butt off the seat, but he had an old model

    I dont like 'em

they are, but it's pretty much impossible to mow without taking your butt off the seat, so everyone disables that. you just have to pull a wire.

Have you addressed this with the manufacturer yet, or do some online searches for reviews and see if anyone else is experiencing the saw flaws with this brand? Still should be under warranty. I tell you, they don't make this stuff high quality anymore especially lawnmowers. Had to replace a brand new Troybilt within 4
months and only 3 uses. Made me fuckin mad!!
