mines a 52 with laminated stock that i refinished to be a bit darker and numbers match except for the magazine also they pin the mags here to 5 to be legal and mine has the better internal pin instead of what they call a frankenpin that looks shitty welded to the outer case
I hear Florida is great this time of year. jk! I've always wanted to go to like Iowa, just to see what it is like. Rolling corn fields, Idk. Sounds serene. You seem like a nice guy, Kevin...I just wanted to tell you that. ((hug))
@ Deidre: Me and my twin brother visited Tampa 8 years ago today. It was my first time ever in the state of Florida. We went to the Cowboys vs Buccaneers NFL game at Raymond James Stadium the next day. The twin saw a Florida State League game with the Tampa Yankees that evening. My only other visits to Florida all involved Orlando International Airport (MCO) in 2010. They were all for Southwest Airlines, either as a stop or a plane change. Iowa? Hmmmm! Go there are you may get this Iowa Cubs player who loves the camera: https://www.************/milb/videos/vb.94865416873/10156089992336874/?type=2&theater Thank you for your other comments!
@ Deidre: Tornadoes? Very true...but so can the Connecticut River Valley. Just ask Springfield, Massachusetts about June 1, 2011. They were slammed hard by one that day! We had a potent one pass right by Bradley Airport (BDL) in Windsor Locks, CT (between Hartford and Springfield, MA) on October 3, 1979. I know, because my mother pulled me out of school early that afternoon (2nd grade). We were at the edge of that super cell, but still had Willow Brook flash flood out the corner only 2 blocks to my west (in my home town at the time). Present day and 2017? Heading up to Maine tomorrow. Overnight in Portland. I first looked at Philadelphia. However, the promotion I was expecting with Amtrak didn't quite happen. Damn it! Ah well! Maine is my second home, so it's all good. My late grandmother is from Biddeford, roughly 20 miles down the road. It's an awesome state...just has shitty winters. SIGH!
You’re right we do occasionally experience Tornados although rarely do they ever go above an F1 or F2. The only instance of an F4 tornado in Massachusetts was the 1953 Worcester storm which ravaged the city. Also if you remember the town of Monson was hit particularly hard during the June 1, 2011 outbreak Hotwater
I wonder if there's ANY state at all, with perfect weather. Colorado? New Mexico? Maine sounds nice, like if you could live six months in one place where the weather is perfect, and then another six months somewhere else where that weather is perfect...life would be perfect. Enjoy your adventure, Kevin!
Just repaired two deluxe vinyl generic lazy boy recliners that Miss Kittie scratched the legs of. Of course my wife tried first using one of those vinyl repair kits and she put on the adhesive which wasn't needed and left white spots which we couldn't remove. She couldn't wait for me..... So we had to remix the color about 6,000 times to get it anywhere near right and then slopped some over the adhesive, heated it with the handy dandy vinyl repair kit heating iron over the texture thingy, and after about two hours....it don't look bad! Can hardly see the repair from Texas, especially with the bed sheets reinstalled back over the chair to protect them from Miss Kittie's next attack.
im resting spent the afternoon cutting out vines and bush weeds from back fence and sorting out some scrap aluminum i think i might grab some wild cedars next time im out in the bush and transplant them along the back to get more privacy also i noticed a few more ash trees sprouting up so ill probably move them to better spots in the front yard
Sitting Here Watching The Snow Fall......Yesterday We Had A High Of 27c......Today 7c Is The Predicted High.....What A Contrast..... Cheers Glen.
im resting again found and cleaned more aluminum in the last hour ...also stripped down an old mower took off the good parts and put the rest in the recycle pile
I’m familiar with the weather in Maine our neighbor to the north and east, and I assure you the weather there is far from perfect. In May the weather maybe sunny and everything is in bloom but if the wind is off the ocean the temperatures are in the upper 30s. October is a feast for the eyes but the sun sets early and in the mornings you can expect frost on the pumpkins. Basically the only reliable months are June-September. Hotwater
I went to Maine in June a few years ago and thought it was perfect, but it wasnt exactly ideal summer weather. I dont like hot weather though so I was in heaven. There was one day in particular when we were in Kennebunkport and it rained all day and it was in the low 50s, which is winter weather for us southerners and a far cry from a normal June day. Everyone else with me had a pretty miserable time that day but I loved it. We did have a couple of days of nice sunny 80 degree weather but overall even Maine weather during the summer seems pretty unpredictable.
im trying to decide whether to stay home and get some work done...or go to town for lunch and enjoy the nice weather
Um...yeah....Spanky is still here and dieing......Two days ago, I told Stan to start making calls to see if anyone could come here to euthanize Spanky. Someone would for $300.00....um....no, thanks..... Grief really is a business......Up until today, Spanky still wanted to go outside, so we let him.....with supervision,. He still wanted to go to his favorite spots, but it took Spanky half and hour to walk 140 feet...as he had to keep stopping to rest......I was up until the wee hours this morning with Spanky trying to clean him up and the puddle of mucousy blood coming from his mouth that he was laying in...I knew today would have to be the day......so Stan called the vet up and fate once again intervenes and they say no one will be there today to do it.....so Spanky now lays dieing underneath the couch some more....which would be the perfect scenario for him to just die here naturally.....He shows no interest in even coming out to go outside today.......so I know the end is pretty near. yes, sad......but I have been angry more than anything....Life can be so cruel. I knew this loss would be one of the hardest.....and I have had to become a hard ass to get thorugh it, too. Stan told me he cried his eyes out this morning when this song came on his car radio during his errands....I am so glad I have a husband that cares so much. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wqw1MGEHKNE
and after the Spanky and the Gang song, Stan told me this came on, and he had to stop the car, as he really lost it with this song,....so dedicated to you, dear Spanky. No, there will be another you. We love you here. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4Ga9Bs4fzSY
