I would say something like that on this stifling hot day it has been here all day.

and terry what a friend to wildlife you are! how do you chase the otters away? They go somewhere else then to eat fish....

I miss the lake my grandfather built his cabin on....and being there in the summer....my grandfather built made one he painted apple green that would take everyone across the big lake...but people had to paddle it..Apple green was a big color for him...I guess my grandmother loved it. he made lots of furniture like a table and 4 chairs that he painted in that color, too.....I loved the color ,too...Gosh, I miss those days...

 

Eating a satsuma, scrolling through hipforums and drinking a cup of tea. Winning at life!

 

New Jersey recently legalized the sale of fireworks. So that's what I'm doing. Listening to fireworks. And not sleeping for the early start I have tomorrow.

 

We go down to the pond and give the otters a hard time. They move on down the creek.

That boat seems kind of fancy. I was talking about one of these in apple green....just basic.

Yeah, so to continue what I said about my neighbor on the haiku thread....

So much rain here that a tree fell down on the drive a few days ago...blocking us all in and threatening to keep keeping mail people and things away....unless you could maenuver around into the woods practically ...which Stan is such an excellent driver(the best driver I ever knew), so he did that and got on finding a solution right away. he always does.

He called our neighbors first wanting to speak to Cornell, Josh's dad on a plan of action..Josh answered...Josh said it was just he and his girlfriend there...

"What? When did this happen...overnight?"......that is what I thought...."You did not have a girlfriend 2 days ago...when I last spoke you"...lol

These were my private thoughts....


So Stan told Josh to walk up the road and take a photo so he could send the photo to the guy here who clears the snow off the road, and does everything one needs with lawn care here ...as he was not getting back until it was too dark...so josh said he and his girlfriend would...and they did....although not a good photo to really show...

Stan got back before dark and took some photos himself and sent them to the lawn care guy who said he would be there first thing in the morning...

and he was! He cleared the whole thing away....


So two days ago I was outside running after my pugs and I heard a dog barking from my neighbor's house....They don't have a dog...what is going on..I thought...and my pugs started running towards that...and I I had to run all the way to the stream which divides us with the neighbors....as my pugs would have jumped in the stream to follow the noise....

i saw Josh , as he is very tall...and a tall female walking around..... Ok, that must be Josh's girlfriend...although I was still too far to see anything really...

"you have a new dog, Josh?" I yelled...."No, it is my girlfriend's dog..."


"Oh, great...let me get my dogs here squared away and I will be right over to meet her and say "hi"and see Emmy for a minute..."I yelled...

"OK,....!" Josh yelled back.

I did have a toy I picked up for Emmy...his almost 5 year old daughter I had been wanting to give her lately.... It was a big pink and purple castle made for My Little Pony horses...and i knew Emmy would love that.

Found it at a sale in perfect condition...very pretty. i liked it myself...


So in practically no time..I walked over there with the castle...

and Josh comes to the door kind of blocking me from going in there for the first time ever. i can read people and their body language....so I just said come outside for a moment to talk to me...

He and Emmy came...and Emmy flipped over the castle..YAY!

Love that little girl, as i have said before...

"So where is your girlfriend? I want to meet her..." I said...

"She is laying down...."

"OK"...I did not push it....but I thought....what is to hide...
"Maybe another time then"


So I spoke to Josh and Emmy for awhile outside....asked a few questions that were not too personal..but did not like the answers I was getting and it was not the same Josh...not the same energy around, either....


So i asked Emmy..."Do you like her?"

Emmy did not answer me...but Josh immediately answered for her.."Oh, she loves her.."...and he said it many times..."Ok....who are you trying to convince, I thought...

I just turned to Emmy..."You better not like her more than me, as i will be jealous...."


Emmy then gave me the biggest smile and that told me everything I needed to know ....


and off i went....


Anyway...Josh....who comes over when we are away to take care of my cats and birds many times a day .....do i really have to tell you not to bring your girlfriend over here when I am away?

I guess I do..but will have to put it in such a way...You and Emmy can come over like always,Josh...but the house is a mess and i don't want your girlfriend here until i have a chance to clean it up....and be there to meet her...


of course...I won't say the part...especially someone who wouldn';t even meet me..

 

Getting mashed and watching this.

 

im debating whether to waste the day away by doing absolutely nothing ...or waste the day away by doing a bunch of work.

 

Well,I have a million things to do....but I am being lazy right now...i deserve to be once in awhile...

At least I woke up today feeling like my old self again....Been pushing myself into the ground lately with lots of things...lol

 

And my key board on this computer sucks now......worse than ever. It skips..misses letters..takes me forever to write anything.

It is so clear..that I will be getting a new computer before the end of the year.
