Ithaca makes me think of bottom ejecting shotguns...nice design they had i just got back from people watching at the lake...lots of people out there because today is a holiday...99% normal people too...usually its just weirdos but today all the normal working folks were there because they couldnt work someone is having a really bad day..i seen firetrucks and an ambulance go up to the beach entrance...the ambulance left with lights and siren on...that usually means bad things
I have so much to do again today...ugh...sigh...help...and this weather is not helping , either....as this heat is draining me and making me lazy...lol
I got on Stan to go see about his high blood pressure. that was insane, so he has a doctor appointment today with a general doctor...my general doctor....lol She is awesome, too.
Yep the first part of our day till lunch was spent harvesting cucumbers, zucchini, chard, garlic, & squash for todays farmer's market & CSA. This afternoon from 2-7 will be weedin' alot. 3 fields worth. 94 here high humidity
Yeah, this heat...oppressive heat is supposed to stick around until Saturday when it returns to the 80's, which will seem cool.
LOL....Deidre...my general doctor looks like she could be your sister...Very similar in appearance, ....... I see your avatar now and think of her, too....
Oh, that's funny. I wonder if we all have a doppelganger out there? Or is a doppelganger more to refer to someone who has passed away, and a living person looks like him/her? I'm busy today. Not in a fun way. Day started out fun then I had to run errands, now I'm doing laundry, and needing to figure out what to make for a bbq that we're invited to.
I heard we all have a doppelganger out there, but isn't that the same thing exactly?. This doctor looks like your sister...not exactly you, but similar, at least from what I can see with half your face there...lol Anyway...not a spider bite for Stan....DEFINITELY LYME'S DISEASE, as she tested his blood for it right there, and thought it was lyme's disease right away. She's good......so he will be on doxycyclin for 14 days and although his high blood pressure was a little lower today.....164 over something.....the lyme;'s disease could be the reason for that. He will be rechecked after 14 days of the doxy. Good thing he went today.....as his headache was constant and he has been sleeping longer than usual with not as much energy...all symptomatic of lyme's. I am going to her this month , too, to recheck for lyme's...and to see her and catch up on everything I have been going through with all of the other doctors. So no sun for Stan while he is on doxy....so he is staying around here tomorrow....where he can be inside at the neighbor's or come home right away, if he really does not feel too good tomorrow.
Uhhh another long hard day done. All the weedin's done, animals are squared away, & now I'm just sittin' here waitin' for my broccoli to get boiled up for bacon broccoli & cheese
Thank you! I hope he starts feeling better, too...and he is plotting when to take his first doxy........so he is feeling better....can't have dairy 2 hrs before or after.......1 doxy every twelve hours.....so he decided on 10:30 tonight for his first pill...that way he can continue to enjoy his coffee at 7;30 in the morning.....heavily laden with dairy and hot chocolate and everything else....lol What have you decided to make for your barbecue? I still have to cut up tons of fruit tonight. I was waiting for the last minute, so it would be as fresh as possible.
I am a little haunted tonight.... I went out to jog and was alone......By our stream here....which is ours on one side and the neighbor's on the other side.....I happened to be looking at the stream, and on the other side of it in the mud....I saw a mud pile...and then it moved.....It looked like a HUGE frog at first. It startled me...so I kept looking, but then saw it was only bending half of its body up to look at the noise that was coming...which was me....flies all around it......What is that?...Not a frog...It looked like the Montauk monster but in the size of a gigantic squirrel. I saw the long nails coming out of its back feet that were not moving. I knew it was dieing and suffering there...whatever it was....and since it was all covered in mud, it was hard to really know what it was....but I wanted to help it.....so much... but what was I going to do....Walk in the water across the stream and then what.? I looked to see if any of my neighbors were out to ask for help...but they were no where....and approaching it from the neighbor's side where it lay.....I would have had to go through thick brush...no path....and attract a few ticks myself...i did not know what to do...so I did nothing....and what if it was rabid or bit me...and I was alone there with it...I was scared, too....but the entire time, since I saw this poor creature I have been haunted...wondering what should I have done. I did talk to it from the side of the stream I was on for quite awhile...but it never moved again.....after it looked up at me and then lay half its body back down the first time..... These things affect me so deeply. I hope it is not still suffering out there...
and for a moment...I thought a bat?......as the way it opened its mouth like in a silent scream when I first saw it......I thought of a bat, as it had those smaller ears, too.........and I think it was a silent scream...that haunts me the most......a silent scream for help and I did nothing...
