The main worry for any country is the economy.
    That includes the UK.

I suspect the 100,000 dead here is the US might not feel the same way.

Sure many of them had pre-existing medical conditions, and some were on their last mile, but there were others who had many good years ahead,
and would probably say if they were still alive “screw the economy, I want my 10-15 years back”

"celebrating" my natal day. so far i've baked myself a chocklet pancake.
and i'm actually getting low on groceries, but its later then i wish to head for a store so that will have to be tomorrow.

if they were open i'd head for a buffette.
kings table (asian mostly) or the one at g.s.r. (a hotel, shopping and gamboling complex, formerly built by/as m.g.m. grand. still got the lion logos, which are cool)
mongolian barbique places, basically i kind of noodle stall with a kind of buffette of what you pick to be giant wokked with the udon, i like too.
and like i think most malls, ours has a food court. also like most malls these days, the whole place is shut.

i know there's a whole lot of resteraunts doing take away, but not having a car, i might as well go to a grocery store and make my own at home anyway.

Since you don't have a car you could always rent one for a few days.

Celebrate your birthday the right way crusin' down the highway with the wind in your face, stop off at one of those restaurants and sit proudly
in your vehicle while they bring out your food.- tell them its your birthday and if it's the owner he/she might just give you a discount

lol. that's great, but i got rid of my license a couple of decades ago.
its not inconceivable i could get one again, but not much motivation to do so as car payments plus rent would equal more then my pension.
i know week end rentals. i did those several times when back a couple of decades ago.

i don't really have the option, of getting my own higher speed, broader band connection, where i live, even if i could afford it.
i did have one once upon a time, but that was many relocations ago.

on a happier note, i did make it to the store today and enjoyed a couple of nice meals since getting back.

That is good news. Yes, location does not help with many downloads.
Still, it is good you enjoyed your Birthday and many more to come. xxx
