I don't think you would matey - I had to 'buffle' up everytime I went out - not one square inch of bare flesh (including eyes) was left exposed, otherwise I'd risk frost-bite.

I still want to! I wrote a poem about being lost in the Ural Mountains when I was younger and it's been on my mind since.

Where a group of Russian hikers were found dead in bizarre circumstances. Was in the 50s I think.

Since people believe it was aliens or the government.

Oh not pasta !!! - As an alternative suggestion, partially cook the salmon and then wrap it in pastry and finish cooking in the oven - a salmon variation on a beef wellington !!!

i have my trains to play with on the computer, old animations i have downloaded, new animations i make myself and the process of making them, even the never ending process of designing and building the architecture and artifacts to physically model a tiny portions of that world i make pictures and animations of. cooking from the ingredients i am able to procure. eating the result. sleeping and dreaming, that world which is possible, because it is not perfect, but not plagued by many of the same misperceptions as are common among the society of our species.

rince and repeat of course. the inspiration of new scenery in the physical world is mostly denied me, not by this current plague, which is just another layer of obstruction, but by inadiquite public transportation alternatives to indenturing myself for a personal vehicle, which my current pension would be inadiquite to sustain, or at least unless i could live comfortably in it, instead having to pay rent. and for that i would take, some sort of r.v., which, even if the bank would lend me the up front, which it might if i were to ask, or not as might be, i would still not be able to afford sufficient fuel to move it often enough for remaining in one pace with it not to become a problem, not to mention that of getting to the store for groceries, because the one thing i would not do, is park it in some vacant lot in a city and try to live in it that way. so i sit in my room with two widows, one facing east and one facing west, each giving me the glorious vista of a parking lot. the east one full and the west one fenced and abondond. there is bus locally in this pair of small cities in which i live. and its service is fine. but there is a darth of connetion to any place smaller and back and beyond.

i'm glad i've got this internet, but i would really, almost be willing to give it up, to live in the kind of place i grew up, a tiny village on a forested mountain, without having to own a car, or have a big income, to live there. a tiny cabin in the woods, with a good internet connection would be to me, the best of all worlds. that and wee bit of a garden for the trains and to grow things.

not expecting that to happen, but what i am thankful i can still do, is the pictures and animations and physical models, of what i can imagine that world to be like.

its been linked before. still on fur affinity with my user name of themnax, and on vemio, under my mundane name but linked from there.
i don't think i'm supposed to upload directly to here without sending some long green, which i could and would, except i don't like the idea of sending money over the internet.
i wish we lived in a world where there was still some other way to do that. i would if it did.

there are lots of things i once dreamed of, (hosting an on line text and image roll play of that world) but our shared internet world has gone a somewhat different way.

i would upload more often were it not for "bandwidth" service limitations on the wifi where i live.
never know when or if i'll be able to get on or for how long. still i do, try and usually succeed,
to upload at least one new 3d rendering every week on f.a.

i do seem to be able to get on the net almost everyday, but many days happen when i cannot,
which is one reason i've never volunteered to mod anywhere, though its been offered and i appreciate the thought.

well you never know what tomorrow's world might bring.

i read a sciffy story like that. a lot of rumers and conspiracy theories start with one that was written a decade or more before they begin to circulate among the general public.
as i recall in the stories, they weren't just alien, but alien androids, and their identities when traced, turned out all to have been of people who had died in the same plane crash.
it was successfully kept under wraps and the general public never did find out. what gave them away was forgetting to remove one finger from a cup of hot coffee.
was a kind of mystery stories, kind of like, what was that csi kind of thing only in the military, i forget the name of it, but it follows a guy who had been on a space vessel where he observed this event and couldn't leave it alone.

i wouldn't be surprised if twilight zone or outer limits had done a version of this, though i don't recall seeing it if they did. just reading a paperback sciffy novel that told the story it reminds me of. (at my age, everything reminds me of something, of which i've probably seen or read more then one example)
