Now I am reading a book from this list: New Best Books of 2018 to Read in American List | BooKKooks. Namely Christina Lauren "Love and Other Words". I still like it, I want to read "Dark Sacred Night".
Here's a couple interesting facts: In 1959 coal miners broke through the bottom of the river killing 12 men. The hole sucked in 10 billion gallons of water and a desperate attempt was made to fill it by dumping in 50 hopper cars, 400 mine cars, etc.. The hole ending mining in the entire area. One spot in the river is 130 feet deep. There are thousands of potholes in the river at Conewago falls.
I'm about to pick up a new text book for the next semester of college. The book is called "Gendered Worlds" and it's for my sociology of gender class, which is not a required course. I'm taking it for fun and to learn...
Illusions: The Adventures of a Reluctant Messiah by Richard Bach @tumbling.dice I think it was you who mentioned it to me? If it wasn't I've forgotten who. Anyway, whoever, thanks! I love it.
I haven't yet started it but my brother loaned me Redshirts by John Scalzi. It's a thinly disguised Star Trek parody. In it, several low ranking members of the crew of the starship Intrepid notice the unusually high casualty rate of crewman who accompany senior officers on away missions. That's all I know so far.
That author has a really cool sci fi series called Old Man's War... I got into it a few months back. I recommend.
But the sports channels switch and change all the time. I still have my foxtel account active and I can use it here in Europe. Cricket channel.. Absurd.
