It's good. The beginning was some of his strongest writing because it moved like a Hemingway novel. I get the life filled with regret. And of course the gentrification which is everywhere these days (making my rent continually go up). I'm only 200 pages into it, so I'm hoping to see a little more momentum.
I'm only about 30 pages in right now. It's been a busy week. Definitely enjoying it so far though. I think the character development will be stellar.
I have two going right now.. The Annotated H.P. Lovecraft & a two volume biography about Franz Kafka. Both long, slow reads in my opinion but I'm muddling through them.
Welcome to the Monkey House=Vonnegut and Dark Rivers of the Heart=Koontz. ( when I really get cranked up, I can finish one in a day or a day and a half.)
A collection of Lesbian Vampire Erotica short stories. I forgot who it is by because there are two or three different authors..
same thing I was reading a year or more ago when I posted here. have yet to read it further...although I did read a bit of the artic drift. it was ok but not good enough to go buy it (I borrowed it and had to give it back)
The Switch--Elmore Leonard, The Heist-Daniel Silva. (The 1st one-about a half a' day read. I like Leonard's style.)
