Divergent series, not as good as the hype I'd say.

    that sounds pretty cool, bird.

i just finished Robots and Empire by Issac Asimov. i never read the previous three books in that series, but i enjoyed the 4th.

now i'm reading something that's not science fiction for a change.

Continental Drift by Russel Banks. i've found him to be a really descriptive author. seems like he's just writing about normal shit, but i can visualize the rooms and the characters pretty easily. and it turns out, he is just talking about "normal shit," but there is always a lesson there or at least some kind of social commentary. i don't know that i'm always smart enough to "get it" though.

i also started reading Night by Elie Wiesel
never read it when i was supposed to in college

Yeah it is a pretty good read indeed. I love old science fiction books and thanks to Project Gutenberg I managed to find a whole bunch. Also some Asimov ofcourse, he's a must-read author for SF fans. :2thumbsup:

    John Grisham-'The Confession'.
I've read it before-got most of his books-but he writes a good and involving story.

I think my favourite of his is 'Playing for Pizza'.

just finished Eiji Yoshikawa's Musashi and Im currently taking a second pass over Tiziano Terzani's One More Ride on the Merry-go-round . Irvine Welsh is in queue with a half-read Porno . The best in the recent batch is Relentless (Senza Tregua) by Giovanni Pesce.

This is another book that I've had in my bookshelf for what seems like an eternity. Will finally get around to reading it now.

    Hello,

it's a book about a hike through the Black Forest. It's not that impressive, but at least I know now what a 'Hollaendertanne' is ;).

    Regards
    Gyro

Meant to read it for a long time and I can't believe I didn't pick it up earlier. A few chapters in, I realise what a brilliant book it really is.
