I just had the following conversation with my sister:

Sister: "David, this is my friend, Courtney!"
    Me: "Oh, hello."
Sister: "Courtney,David is a loser with no friends and has never been to a party!"
Me: "You still sleep with the lights on, and -I'm- the loser?"
    Sister: "... Shut up!"

I don't understand why she always tries to mock me like that. I'm nice to her and tend to stay out of everyone's way, but she still insists on doing things like this.

Older brothers need to put sisters in their place, duh. My oldest brother kicked around my older brother, and my older brother kicked me around! Its the natural order of things.

Then when you are all grow'd up, you laugh about the fun times when they lock you in the dog cage and play hide and seek and never find you. On purpose.

I could never be like that to anyone! I know someone who's older brother has always been nice to her, and they're best friends.

My sister always beat me up, and I'm the oldest xD

I'm having another wobble about my career choice. Talked to a friend tonight and he is all wobbly about his future, has been stuck in retail for years and never went to uni, wants to go to uni next year but has no idea what to do. He mentioned an animal conservation course that you don't need qualifications for, which sparked off a little thought inside of my head... The reason I chose glassblowing over teaching and teaching over conservation is that I'm already in a degree, I'd need another degree in conservation to get anywhere in a career. And I don't want to pay lots more money. But.. I dunno. I'm watcing that film "Home" and have been reading about conservation stuff in the National Geo magazine, and it makes me want to get up and do something to help. Yes glassblowing is lovely and creative and awesome to do, but it doesn't help anything. Yes I could make shit to give to charities to sell but that isn't really.. yea. I want to do something directly. Like go to africa and help build reserves for tigers or educate locals about how crap poaching is. I chose glass blowing over that because I thought I could contain my animalhelpness in volunteering as a helper in the RSPCA saving badgers and hedgehogs. But I don't know anymore. I love glassblowing. But I think I'd regret it if I didn't try conservation. Maybe I could go into industry (glassblowing) and save up to go on volunteering trips to africa every year or something. They cost £1-2k, excluding flights. Or do conservation first then do glassblowing. I'm passionate about both, for different reasons. They are two completely different things :( I'm going to do more research into careers in consrvation, to see what chances I have at actually succeeding.

Sorry, super long post >< If anyone has any suggestions please say xD

all we get here is the crap diesel that were allowed to put in vehicles....and the crap diesel that is dyed red and can only be used in furnaces and off road equipment (the dye is because it isnt taxed the same)...major fines if caught with red stuff in a vehicle going down the highway

they shift to winter grade when it gets cold to reduce gel problems but Im surprised you have a choice of premium or regular..Ive never heard of that

i love this post. i always have the same worries. and our paths are quite similar - i can't decide between an arty career and conservation stuff. what helps me is that i'm still very young, a lot of people still don't know what they want to do when they're 40. it's never too late to change lanes. and you can always try both :D

I found a scotch egg meat ball or something in a falafel pack a couple of weeks ago, I sent it off to the company, and today I got a letter from them saying they have no idea what it is or where its come from xD So I got reimbursed x2 the value of the falafel pack, and £5 vouchers for their foodstuffs :D I like this company ^^

Yeah, we get red diesel too, although I think it's actually yellow now. The premium diesel is pretty new afaik, I think it's part synthetic and apparently slightly reduces low end torque (which would explain why I was shuddering the van when I pulled off) but improves at mid / high revs.

Van didn't start any easier, I think it's leaking air back through the injectors or some shit and it's taking a minute of cranking to reprime the fuel lines. I'll have to give it a good run so the battery doesn't die on me.

i did some heavy thinking this morning and decided I should have stuck with being a gangstar or a rockstar instead of what I do now. Then I watched the ellen degeneres show and got over it. I love her.
