What Are/Have You Been Doing Today.?

Hdh how long did you leave the things in for without changing them?

My boss (the awesome one) is an assistant leader for a group of explorer scouts and I've been thinking about becoming a leader or an assistant, so he said I can go along to one of their meetings yay!

Oh and I think I might like to go to egypt next summer ^^

 

6 months between each stretch. Don't waste your breath trying to help, I exhausted the body mod forum about a year ago asking for it.

 

Yeah, part time bachelor of engineering, it's still in the kiddy pool stages atm. It's supposed to take 6 years but Im going to try and get it done in 4.

Sweet, what field of it are you wanting to go into? Chemical, mechanical, environmental...?


I've also started stretching my other ear. Want to keep stretching the already stretched ear too, although I want to let the other catch up a bit first haha

 

I dunno tbh, if you'd asked me 5 years ago I would have definitely said mech, but im now kinda leaning more towards electrical (if you draw a distinction between electrical and electronic) The course is a bit weird in that it's a generic engineering course, and I can pick my own modules to make up the required number of points, but when Im finished I can do an extra 60 points to specialize and then join the appropriate profesional body (or at least thats my understanding of it) So I could in theory give my degree a heavy mechanical bias and then specialize as an electrical engineer at the 11th hour. (No that doing so would be a good idea)

Ive seen enough of the world of work now not to care really, I'm just going to chase the money and buy my happiness in the form of a big house in the country and plenty of free time. There is no job I want to do that can support the lifestyle I aspire to live.

 

I need to do a big shop for food as I have none in my cupboards, apart from stuff to make dinners. This means no lunch. If I go for a big shop now I'll tired myself out for the day. So I mightjust make a dinner meal for lunch. Nom.

Edit: Glassblower or a career in scouting? I want to become an assistant leader (somewhere) and do my DofE And for a while (years) I've been thinking about camping and scouting and whether it's a viable career... But then I went to the isle of wight and glassblowing happened so yea. But now I'm re-thinking. I'm going to ask at work (camping shop) to see if they have any contacts regarding design of products etc. I dunno. I can't decide ><

Is scouting not a volunteer thing over there, I was sure it was in Ireland??

It's volunteering if you want to be a leader or something but there are paid positions in the head offices etc, as well as with the DofE head offices. But I think they are more admin jobs 0.o I could look at becoming a designer for a camping gear company but I assume I'll need a different degree for that like product design. ><

 

possibly, do you have an idea for a new camping product? because one good idea is all you usually need

I hopped around from place to place drinking tea and coffee all day, now settling down with a little boxed red wine. Was a good purchase indeed.

 

Yeah, same shifts which will be good because I won't have to walk along unlit dark country roads alone to get home.

Order picking. But a job is a job and I can't be choosy in this economic climate. The manager said once you're in you're in and you don't HAVE to stay as an order picker.

It's a forty hour week but they usually work 37. Early finish Friday. Hey when you guys come visit we can actually do things now we have money!
