What Are/Have You Been Doing Today.?

Tomorrow is my birthday and I finally figured out what I can do for a "career". My life lately has been a lot better. All I need to do is find an apartment.

 

Just applied for an admin job who want an employee who expresses an interest in the arts. Stressed interest in /p/ and Theatre stage management. It's going to go no further than that but still, it feels good to apply to a job I might enjoy.

ive had my university course induction today.. lots and lots of paperwork, but met lotsa new peeps happy! just sorting out my timetable now

In similar news I had pretty much decided last night to hand in my notice at work, and just keep the 15 hour a week monday - friday number in the afternoon so that I could work on my degree and starting my own business. Then today I get an e-mail asking me to come for an interview for this job I'm pretty sure I can get (unless they take one look at my dreads and tell me to GTFO)

I'm having a bit of trouble doing the wage maths due to it being presumably pro-rata (25 hours a week) and using NHS pay banding, but I think I'm looking at at least a £3500 / year improvement (and possibly more like £5000) . So do I take the "Not quite as fail at life" job opportunity and start earning something like a reasonable wage, or do I take the plunge and start working for myself.

The thing is even being able to work far more reasonable daytime hours and have a 2 day weekend would be a massivle quality of life improvement. Dam important life decisions, why can't I be 12 again.

 

Tie yo' dreads back. I tie mine in a a bun. The job I went for is pro rata. But at least it's a job. They emailed me saying they'll be in touch after the 8th. Don't think they'll be interested but I am, essentially their ideal candidate.

I'd say work for yourself, but its fucking hard.

 

I've been painting most of the day, this one woman in my class with dreadlocks has had them for 7 years. I'm wearing my hair up in a beanie and I said it's alot of maintenance she said that's the opposite it should be. And I said hmmm I agree with that but I keep getting different answers from different people. Personally I just want to let them do their own thing. Au Natural if you may. Basically what I have been doing. Anyways in 7 months i'm hoping there more sectioned . It's great having someone in my class that can show whats up

 

Got yelled at by about ten kids on a bus stopped at a red light while I was riding my bike home from school. What did they yell, you ask?

today I fixed a four wheeler...and the owner has been a real pest so I will overcharge him just because of that

 

Worked the most I've ever worked this week.... 3 6 hour shifts :O But I'm not as knackered as I was last night so this is good. I want to go to bed but I also feel I should be being socialble... I think a happy ... inbetween (I'vr forgotten the worD) is to watch a dvd in bed then fall asleep. Yes, I think this is good. I ate green olives for the first time tonight. And lots of them. I was going to take some pictures of my dreads because they look longer but I can't be arsed now xD Maybe some tattoo/dread piccars tomorrow. Sleepy time.

Oh and I hate my housemate. She gave me a cold. And I heard a story about her from her old housemates... She walked in on one of them (and his gf) having teh sexy times and she didn't even clock on that they were doing the biz. She started a conversation and didn't leave until she got a response. She barges in without knocking and it pisses me off >< Next time, I'll do my "im being serious" voice and tell her to behave like a normal person.

 

Fucking walk in on her and hit her with a dildo, DV and shout "SURPRISE, MOTHERFUCKER!".

I need to snap out of my 'just skating by' school tactics and jump into srs bsns 'apply yourself' mode. My whole life I've been the sort to sleep in class all year but get a perfect score on the final exam and thus pass with acceptable grades, but this year I think I pretty much need to actually put a little work into it and get good grades. Then my parents have no excuse not to be happy with me and can't blame my boyfriend for stealing all my time and will in turn love him forever (although tbh I'll settle with simply not hating him)


Tonight I will unleash a huge wad of creativity onto paper. That sounds disgusting.
What I mean is I will draw some pictures.

Stayed up at a holiday home at Tinaroo Lake last night with a mates family and two friends. So been wakeboarding and tubing and such most of yesterday and today. Came home this arv then worked till 9 tonight.
Pretty keen to have a sleep.
