Wasn't the sixties really about satanic worship? I mean we were told not to do something --people did it by being led away by a lie (that was saying to them you are doing this for good to stop a war)-----then as they bit into the forbidden fruit they got the knowledge of the world they were looking for and they all lost themselves--started to spread aids, died of drug overdosses and some how still managed to pass on the sixties as a great time that brings freedom and fun. Isn't this satanic worship (satanic meaning the opposition of God and his plan---which is peace through Him and His way).
Rob--did you happen to be at that venue with the arches in front on the second story ,that you could see the street from, when the Hells Angels rented the hall and Janis, the young rascals and someone else played???'67.I believe.
It was a time for change. People, young and old no longer accepted everything they were told."If we lost in Viet Nam the commies would invade California. Desegregating schools would cause the fall of western civilization. Anyone who smoked pot would automatically turn to hard drugs. Masturbation causes blindness and hairy palms". I think we can make today as good or better than the sixties. Challenge the lies with the truth. Its what the Dr. Leary did, and all the writers of the music we listened to, and the books we read. The drug use was an expression of that time, it didn't give birth to it. Ideas are what made the 60's a time of change, a time to remember. They were good ideas then, they still are today. Its time for another Hippy Revolution.
Some years were fantastically great.. barring a month or a day or two.. some were bad.. no doubt.. all was there to be seen, and perceived as to the underlying truth.. and yes, 64 to 67 superb moments strung one by many together.. after 67.. the attack dogs, the alarm systems, and dead drug dealers (no offense to Superspade..) littered the landscape.. Peace!
