Went to school barefoot

So you're saying that people should give up a freedom, such as going barefoot, because someone else is afraid of getting sued. In other words, conform to the establishment and give up a freedom, the opposite of what hippies do. Dumbass.

 

eh read my posts from the start.. i specifically said that the freedom to go barefoot should be protected, and i was trying to show the argument from the teachers side.. trying to show why people get so much shit for goin barefoot at school, but to not necessarily blame the teachers. Why blame the teachers.. itsa the fucking laws and health and safety which forces the teachers to enforce such lame rules...

and my point about bein a hippy is the ethos of peace, love and respect... where in this thread do you see that?? Dumbass!

Theres no health or saftey laws forcing these teachers to do anything about bare feet. Its student's right to go barefoot if they wish and besides the parents of these students might wanna remind the teachers who pay the taxes that pay their salaries and tell them to think about that next time before bitchin to their children about not having shoes on. They oughta be lucky those kids are even comin to school and bringing the school money every day theyre there. These parents could always take their child elsewhere. The teachers oughta just be happy the student is there everyday and getting an education.

TWICE now I've tried to explain that I was not comparing the actions of the Nazis to the actions of the anti-barefoot people. I've explained that I was comparing those who would not protect barefooters when they are under attack to those who would not protect the jews, the unionists, the gypsies, etc.

How are you able to be so fuckin' dense that you don't understand that despite having it explained several times?!

NO, the fact is, you DON'T get my points, as evidenced by what you wrote just above where you claim to get my points. How many times did I explain what I meant (and it was fuckin' clear the FIRST time, ANYWAY!) and you still don't know what the fuck I was talking about.

Beats me...time to get this back on track...

I've been taking a couple classes at the local college, and I've been going barefoot on campus for several weeks now. It's funny how you see half the campus wearing flip-flops, but only a few barefooters. Anyway, haven't had any bad reactions from people, just a few stares and even one girl who looked at my feet and said, "cool shoes!" So maybe there's hope after all...

 

thats awesome, in Australia its regulation to wear shoes all the time. We have a uniform, but on days of out of uniform we have to wear enclosed shoes. Yes it isnt always fair, however i feel privileged to be able to recieve my education, which so many people around the world arent entitled to.

I think students should have a right to go barefoot cuz if they did then the schools would get in trouble everytime they tried to make someone wear shoes. I mean hey if it improves your comfort and your ability to learn then who are they to argue? If it offends anybody then they should just leave, because obviously if someone gets offended by bare feet they will be offended by much more serious things and thus are not stable enough to handle being at school without going nuts.
