i was expecting a thread about strange times for a bj...

there's a decent enough chance that the guy won't even do anything. people make a lot of empty threats when they're angry.

I would go down to the courthouse and see if someone can help out. Out here there is a lawyer referral service that costs only $30. You get a 30 minute consultation with the right type of lawyer for your case with your original $30. Google "Lawyer Referral Service" for your area and see what you think! :argue:

it gets complicated with indigenous land my friends.....if I remember correct our friend is an indigenous person....it would not be unusual to sell a house on reserve land where you own the home but never the land...if there is no divorce papers and no paper trail...or shaky paper trail...dude could have a shot.......you cant sell a home jointly owned without both peoples permission....but like I said....this may be a tricky legal situation

I don't think Jo could have bought it if it was jointly owned... It never would have cleared the title search.

If her name isn't on it any longer....there is probably nothing to worry about at all. If you refinanced it with her name and your name on the deed.....it may have to go through probate. But even at that....if there is no debt owed to him by her.....still nothing to worry about.

If I had a dollar for every time I heard someone who didn't have an attorney say they were calling their attorney.......
