That isn't true. Some people are born with a really high metabolism and eating bad and not exercising doesn't cause them to gain weight. They can still be really unhealthy, but they won't be fat. I remember when I was a teenager and my health teacher told me that when I hit my mid-twenties my metabolism would slow down and I would start gaining weight... hasn't happened yet. However, looking perpetually anorexic is far from a blessing sometimes...
It's so expensive to eat healthy, but I'm trying as well. I cut out soda all together and my stomach is thanking me for it already. I think maybe coffee is next, it gives me the shits daily and it gets worse and worse as the days go by. Not a nice feeling. Congrats on your weight loss and good luck on the rest of it.
Awesome stuff!! I've been doing the weight loss thing now had a lot too lose, the other day I needed new jeans so went shopping, I got gusty and tried the next size down. They fit with ease, no struggling you know doing that dance to pull the up. They just fit. I started crying in the change room. Was very emotional for me as it meant I went down 4 sizes.
Damn Rat , I don't think you need to shed anymore weight . Looks like you have done a great job . Maybe maintain now . Lift some weights , pump up those guns and chest , and you could prob. eat what you want now in moderation . lean Muscle eats up alot of energy (food) . But really anytime you sweat your metabolism speeds up . Walking 3 to 5 miles a day is prob. what's working so great for you . Drinking green tea helps speed the metabolism too , hot tea even better to raise body temp. and boost met. as well as the mentioned spicy food . How much have you lost ? Cause it looks like you have done a great job . Well done !
thats absurd.. cutting out alcohol completely?? ..im jk.. no but really.. i hear gin n tonics are kinda low on calories.. lol .. im trying to do that same too. its tough.. but keep your eye on the prize! a super hot bod for the summer..! yeah.. lol invest on 10 minute trainer, i recently got it.. and out of the twice i've tried it.. (lol) i've found it to be quite effective.
it's also good for your metabolism to eat a little and often rather than 2 huge meals. thats speeds your metabolism running is great too
Losing weight is actually really simple. It's simple math - calories in vs calories out. Just about anyone can make simple lifestyle adjustments that will see them slowly drop weight in the long term, and if you are in more of a hurry, if you put in the effort, you can lose weight pretty quickly. Two girls stand out in memory from when I used to train people. One lost 10 kgs in as many weeks, the other lost 8kgs in 5 weeks (which is almost dangerously fast.) A diet adjustment, a little bit of education about how food & the body works, and a weekly training session with me plus a couple sessions on their own. The difference in their overall demeanor, skin, etc, was astounding. Commitment is key, and realizing that it is NOT going to be comfortable. The discomfort is totally worth it for a healthy body.
i lose weight simply by not caring about calories or whatever it is i'm eating just remembering to have sensible portion sizes. it works.
That is effectively caring about calories, though. The idea of calories in vs calories out is to encourage exercise as well as a reasonable diet, not that you should count calories and get obsessive about what you eat & how much.
you've misinterpreted what i said as much as i've not explained myself well. i'm talking about eating high calorie meals which are small rather than simply food in general. for instance a mcdonals here is not a particularly large meal but still heaped with calories but i'll still eat it - as mentioned.
Thanks! And thanks to everyone else, too. I have lost 40 lbs in the last 2 months. Ideally, I would like to lose another 20. I don't care so much about getting down to a certain weight as much as having a flat stomach. But man, I feel so much better now, and I view my weight loss as part of a complete lifestyle change that I plan to stick with.
That's the kind of food advice that sounds not worth it. I could love every day without jumk food sweetsugars lemons + sugar + water is delicious, but without the extra sugar, I'd still enjoy the soursugar of a lemon before I was such a health nut to think of it as sugary as candy like it is too much fruit he says healthyish people live on too many cheezeburgers Eat good food Fruits are almost as good as vegetables
