Dunno? Could be lots of things? Sleep? Overtraining.Insuff protein.Too much of a reps orientated programme. Post your programme and diet - maybe people can work out the sticking pt? Lots of people , even top bodybuilders "dont know what theyre doing" and hit a wall. The worst thing I ever did was listen to "experts". I think most of the "industry experts" want everyone overtraining.
My exercise routine currently consists of lifting kids and cleaning stuff. When I was in highschool I worked out mon, tue, thu, fri. Mon and Fri were upper and the other lower. There were different routines we'd use as far as rep/weight ratio so I can't really remember all that. It was almost always 3 sets of everything though. Lower body usually consisted mainly of power cleans, squats, heel raises, those rubber band thingy's that go over your shoulder, and some other shit I can't remember. Upper was the usually bench, curl, butterfly, lats, pull ups etc. That's about the most I can remember. It's been almost 7 years now. haha
OK I see , I think its cos your body doesnt see the need to add muscle. Personally I think you gotta be lifting really low reps - 1 , 2 , 3 ish max. Atleast on most body parts. Sounds like your old programme was good for definition and stamina , but doesnt look like a bulk up thing?
So short heavy workouts is what you'd recommend? That would make sense because I was quite well toned though still smaller than I'd like.
Absolutely 100000%. Short , ultra heavy weights. But you gotta know the programme. And a lot of protein. If you weigh 160lbs , maybe 160 g of protein or more in protein shakes , lean chicken , tuna etc for the training day and a few days after til you feel recovered.
Eat lard. Buy bricks of it and fry everything before you eat it. Spread it on twinkies... Or did you want healthy weight
Turn 30. I can't gain weight for the life of me, but my body is more manly and filled up since then. I used to be demasiado skinny.
That number would make total sense. Do you know how huge I'd be? And I think I have the upper body frame to carry it, to be honest.
yea, definitely eat large, lift heavy hit targets on what you need to eat - i would go with at least 1.5x BW/gram of protein...but i would strive for 2x BW in grams of protein, so say a 150lb man - that would be 300g of protein in a day. then throw in healthy fat sources and then go to town with everything else. plenty of lifting routines will work - just make sure you got the big movers in there: squat, deadlift, bench press, overhead press, rows...each has plenty of variations
it looks like a piece of crap, but i've never used it - you can do BW exercises all on your own and for free....amazing i've used bowflex before and can say that is a huge pile of dog crap
I was just wondering cause my buddy was wanting me to trade him some shit I have laying around the house for one. I'll probably just go with an old fashioned set of weights then. Cheap and easy.
While my frame at 6’2” 170 lbs could easily support more weight, I like the flexibility my physique provides Hotwater
