Sooner or later anyone who gets big is gonna get caught selling weed. The only way to not get busted is to lay low and not sell too much weed. So if you're supporting yourself only by selling weed its only a matter of time before you get caught by the po. Everyone I know who sold that much weed got caught.

as for weed dealing for a living...fuck if know, but ive known a few people who do it.

 

Don't be stupid and don't have foot traffic. Make sure the books are perfect or the IRS will come auditing. Taxes in on time, nobody just coming and going on a regular basis, few customers. But just not being stupid sums it up.

 

anyone selling weed will get caught, bottom line is u arent "big time" if u are touching the product yourself

grows etc. are always run by your pawns, you are just financing them and there is no paper trail to your name anywhere along the line, this is usually when Families are involved, or a group of smart individuals

as for having apartments and a car, unless u are running a front, you will get caught through that as well

u cannot purchase a car in cash over 4000$ without having it reported to the government, that covers a dealer OR a private sale

owning a condo, you have to pay property taxes, therefor your name is connected to the property, when the government sees you have no source of income, yet are paying property taxes, as well as utilities and rent, they will become suspiscious


i always laugh at morons who think somone with a decent car is "rolling" having a nice car is just to look cool, i'll give u respect when u own a 400,000$ condo as a dealer, not a 86 cutlass with Wires.

 

Reading most of the suggestions on how to make a living dealing pot without getting busted brings to mind a saying I heard many moons ago--prisons are full of people who didn't think they were gonna get caught.
The EASIEST way to make money dealing is to grow a shitload of quality ganja, and sell large amt's to one or 2 people.
People who try to make a living selling small amt's will get busted. Guarenteed.
If the neighbors don't notice the foot traffic (you'd need to sell at least five 8ths per day to make a living--that's 35 people a week), if the cops don't beat your name out of one of your customers they bust, a number of other things can happen, no matter how elaborate your "system".
Like breaking up with your wife or girlfriend, or your wife finding out about your girlfriend. You're going down and I don't mean eating pussy. In fact, if your a teen, you're probably gonna get fucked up the ass in prison.
I knew a guy who was turned in by his own kid who got pissed off because his dad wouldn't let him borrow the family car. And I heard of a guy who had a huge house on the top of a hill and drove an brand new $75,000 Escalade. He and his wife were getting divorced and 1 day they got into an arguement and she called the cops on him (the stupid bitch--she thought she was gonna get everything with her soon-to-be-ex-husband in jail) was indicted as a co-conspiritor and everything--the house, their cars, the furnishings--got seized by the gov't.
Yeah he lived high off the hog for years, but let me tell you that NO car/house/cool stuff is worth spending years in prison, especially considering that when you get out it will all be gone.


The people I know who have been successfull--some for decades--live quiet, non-eventful lives, and they don't flaunt their cash.
They have 'regular' jobs, get a new car every 3 or 4 years, have a 'regular' house in a 'regular' neighborhood, and don't socialize much outside of a small closely-knit circle of friends.

 

They must have some kind of job wether its mcdonalds or something else.

this wouldnt be a problem at all. most places will accept money orders for bills. i used to take my half of the rent plus like a two dollar fee over to the drugstore, get a money order, and mail it in. course it wasn't because i sold drugs and didn't have a legitimate job, it was simply out of convenience for my situation.

 

Honestly it all depends. And getting eighths and selling them isn't going to cut it. I'm not going to say anything, but I know someone who makes his living off just "pot". And he doesnt buy eighths at a time, he buys 10-15 lbs at a time. He bought a brand new G35. How? He's not stupid with his money. Paid someone extra money to buy it for him. But like everyone that sells pot, will get caught. H'es locked up right now, but will be out in two more months. (Note he got 6 months for a lb of pot with a good lawyer.)

 

You kids have seen way too many movies. I Know many cats who have made most of their living off herb for years. They are artists or musicans or stagehands and the like, or at least claim to be. As long as you file taxes and pay them the IRS is not gonna come looking, unless you are the target of a random audit. Even then as long as the paper work is good nothing to worry about. Nobody would ever get popped if it wasn't for sniches. I work in live event production and most of the companys out there were started with and sustained by weed or coke money. The IRS doen't have the personell to follow around every self-employed person in America. Also in the US only transactions of $10000 or more are reported to the IRS. Alot of cats are incorperated, and again as long as you file and pay taxes nothing to worry about. It only takes about 4 hrs every quater to do everything you need on Quickbooks.

 

So in otherwords, if you go buy a new car it's reported to the IRS if it's over $10k, but not if it's under 10k?

 

The money itself is what gets reported when it is deposited in the bank. A car dealer only reports the sale to the state D.O.R. for sales tax. Where you get caught is when you get tags for the car.

 

yah so my question is. Whats the point of soley living off selling weed? You know its not going to last forever....you dont want feleonies on your record....you dont want to spend time in jail....man their are just so many advantages to soley selling weed for your money. Im so mad that I have a job and work like everybody else.

 

If you want to make a living on herb it is a job, and you have to approach it that way to be sucessfull. It's one thing to get free weed and beer money while your in school, and quite another when you have to make enough to pay rent, bills, food, and have some kind of life, especally if you want to live well.
