Anywhere lol. They usually pick a spot if they are enclosed. But initial anywhre. It's just balls of dry stuff and not icky, pee on the other hand.. Ugh. They usually go when they're eating. It's like in one hole out the other. But literally the poop is just dry it's nothing bad lol. Never smells or anything it's the ammonia in the urine that does but if they go on the wet pads then there's no problem. Problem is they have no sense of it, so they'll sit and lay in it.
