Why can't we just have half guys and half girls?

Seriously guys... noticed on these boards how so many people want change but generally no-one really does anything about it?

(By the way LaurelBayTree I think you're very cool indeed!)

I believe the problem is, that everyone is overwhelmed by the enormous task ahead of them. And, we are probably all wanting too much to happen in too short a space of time. It's a symptom of today's way of life isn't it - we want it YESTERDAY. However, if we keep the goal and a reasonable time-frame in our minds we could make some sort of difference.

I think we (meaning those wanting change) should start off small. I mean, break things down into tasks that will be considered easy to do. Things to start off with like pasting up posters on telegraph poles (I think this has been suggested elsewhere in the forums), or something like letterbox drops. Or maybe it can be broken down even smaller than that. But honestly it can't happen overnight, it has to start in REALLY small steps or else it will become overwhelming again.

Maybe we should have some sort of no-obligation registry where all those who want change can sign up. They will be assigned one small, non-threatening task per fortnight or month to work towards a greater good. Does that sound worthwhile? Or does it sound stupid. Either way, let me know, 'k?

It' took me awhile to realise that something as simple as raising a hand to ask a question could be powerful, in triggering others who would normally pass off certain beliefs as cliche..or a fad. Words are powerful, we all have a voice..and I think a lot of youth today has reached a maturity that Puff Daddy really wont take effect on their opinion...instead, choosing their beliefs to use it through music, poetry..even just word of mouth or silent everyday signals...that makes the world go wow..what does he/she have?..We can do so much...change so much, even if it is one person at a time..one melody at a time..one question at a time. I've never really been one for politics..just a balanced mind and an open one to opinions...and views..which is why I find it hard for people to take me seriously..when i say 'peace'...how is that hard for so many people to comprehend. Peace...with no strings attached..

I just realized how right you all are. I feel a strength of higher consciousness.

That was accidental. I just noticed that now. I have no clue what your "own meaning" for that is. Explain.

I think that we should start a subforum in Hip Forums. Like the "Society for Change" forum, cept in a place where people whill find it.

i think every country should have a big anti-bush and pro-peace protest in front of there parliament buildings. It would be like a world peace protest..instead of another world war.

Ignore him deadhead, he's being rude as usual. :)

I dunno monkeys, I don't think protests work all that much. Look at all the people who turned up against the war in Iraq... these demonstrations did happen all over the world... we've got to be a bit more insidious I think. Kind of like a virus.
