As someone else said a few posts down, it only gives you the illusion of giving you dreads, wax hinders the hair from moving around and locking up and only sticks the hair together giving a "Neater Look" all you need is time and patience and the occasional palmroll every day or so

If your worried about fly aways, get a crochet needle and pull thoes suckers in

I've had locks for four years. I think I know a thing or two about how it all works. And while I used wax, I did not have the illusion of locks, they really did start locking up. I know the difference between backcombed fluff and tight locks.

oh shit. you mean you backcombed and waxed? Is your hair falling out? or do you have unusually large cockroaches in your dreads?

I usedto use wax alot and I have nothing bad to say about it apart from maybe the texture. I've stopped now because I don't think it should be permamnent. I would definately use it again because before I used it my hair wax a mess. O hated it they didn't look like proper dreads they just looked stupid. And I felt stupid! The wax tidied them up and make them look like proper dreads.

I have stopped usinging it full stop now because I think there's only so much good it can do. The rest is up to your patience and time....
