Well if those pleasures are sins, and a perfect being was created, Would they not be opposed to those pleasures?

Therefore making Jesus straight....If he existed. No?

I'm Christian.(don't worry this thread doesn't offend me or any other sane christian) and I can honestly say that in all probability (although I can't speak for him/her/it if they exist) they couldn't care less about homosexuality. while I consider most of the bible to be true there are some parts that just jump out at you as being false and they probably are. the bible was not written by God for humans it was "inspired" by God and written by humans for humans. so obviously there are going to be several cases of personal opinion in the bible.

on topic. Jesus could have been gay, he could have been married. for all I know Jesus could have been a girl. you could look at a few things in his life and draw from them that he is gay but you could do the same thing with me and guess what? I'm not. have nothing against it but i'm simply not.

most of the sins in the bible that are mentioned have actual moral reasons why it was wrong. killing? stealing? adultery? each of these sins has a rather OBVIOUS reason why it's wrong. homosexuality? not so much. the only reason Ican think of is "the bible says" and I simply can't put my entire faith into something that was created by humans. I can't argue "because God says" because I've never talked to God and in all probability neither have you

also "let he who is without sin cast the first stone" and somehow I doubt any of you have never sinned. if you have kudos on your almost guarenteed ticket into heaven. if you haven't kudos you are a normal human being. if all you've done your entire life is sin then no kudos. you an evil monster

Jesus didn't have any children. So you have no reason to believe he was heterosexual. The Bible more or less portrays him as asexual, like Kenneth Williams. Unless I missed something.

And to Demonster, it says in the bible that Sodom and Gomorrah were basically destroyed because of their sins, which includes homosexuality.

So I'll say this again. If homosexuality was/is a sin, then I have no reason to believe that the supposed "Perfect being" would be part of it.

Nothing against being gay, but it doesn't make sense that if God created us in his image, that he would be gay/make his son gay.

I mean, if you were a parent, would you wish homosexuality on your child? Didn't think so.

Either this, or he would just be Asexual as Hoatzin said. Jesus obviously wasn't put here to breed, or to even get into an intimate relationship with another human, so why would he have an orientation anyway?

 

I wouldn't, but I wouldn't wish heterosexuality either. I would just not care about it.

And God told his messenger to tell the cities to turn from their evil ways. They did not listen, which is why they were destroyed. It was punishment for disobedience, not a random mass murder.

why can't people get this through their thick heads? the bible was written by MEN not an infallible God. also I've read the passage about soddom and gommorah and it didn't say anything about homosexuality. and also you have to take into account the fact that the first five books of the bible were written by moses

also have you noticed how many different bible's there are? the king james, the NIV the student bible for catholics. there are also different bibles depending on your religion. the bible ISN"T completely infallible. if it was there are precious few people going to heavne. out of all the six billion alive now maybe 1,000 would go to heaven if we all died tomorrow. the bible has a lot of things in it that we don't follow today. most people would be considered crazy if they did. let's see ooh your hand has probably caused you to sin. have you cut it off yet? how about cutting out your eye because you looked at a girl the wrong way?

so I decide to follow the parts that actually make sense and aren't contradictory to the way God is supposed to be. if I'm wrong so sue me for believing God is better than me.

also each of those mass killings had a reason and most of the ten commandments have exceptions where they are acceptable to be broken. if by killing one person you could save the entire world do you think it's more evil to kill that person or let the entire world just die? I can create an exception for almost any of the ten commandments except for the first and the ones concerning coveting. although the coeting probably depends on the instensity of the coveting. if say I like the new toy my neighbor has and slightly want one it's nto going to be a sin. if however all I can think about night and day is how my neighbor has that toy and I don't then yeah it's bad

so while I might not be the correct form of Christian chances are you aren't either and one last thing you forgot. this thread is assuming Jesus WASN"T the son of God and was just an ordinary human being so your talk about Jesus being similar to God BECAUSE he's God's son is irrelevant to the thread

Another possible explanation could be that he thought he was too good for any woman. Believing that he was the son of god and could perform miracles and that he came to save humanity and all that... If we are assuming that he was NOT the son of god here then he must have been pretty damn vain and egotistical to make such claims. Maybe no one was worthy to be his sexual partner. Just a thought.

 

so the bible was written by HUMANS...no one has seen or spoken to 'god'...if he IS real, he is supposed to love everybody, so how would being homosexuality be a sin?!...and as for a woman being turned into a pillar of salt and any other myth like that, have u ever seen anything like that happen today? NO! would u think some one was insane if they said they did...most likley! those stories are made up...the bible is not the word of god...and if jesus was a regular dude like this thread said, than he has just as much possibility to be gay as any other person on earth, so whats to say he wasnt?!
