    and like I said earlier;
HERE is the reason terrorist activity continues and the "war" will continue.
People holding grudges over past wrongs, piling racial bigotry on top, and then to round it out, lump any and everyone that disagrees with you into the camp of "THEM".

thanks roamy, you have once again illustrated the ignorance and intolerance that terrorism needs to thrive and continue.:2thumbsup:

not everyone is a racist.as not everyone is a racist supporter like you and others..twisted words and lies is what i have grown accustomed to in my dealings with the likes of people like ye.your partners in crime will be back shortly to agree with.you.and hypocrisy also becomes no one, including you!

Your the one spewing hate and venom.

an thats the last strategy ye try ta pull when ye can't handle the truth.try ta demean people by trying ta put them down some other way.this one i have seen many times also.learn ta spell! type in a manner we understand!e.x.c... i do not have one hateful bone in my body, and i do not spew, neither hate nor vernom.i speak facts and truth.and i defy anyone!and always will who try to spread lying propaganda against my own nation of people and other nations who are also being lied about.and unlike a lot of people i do not care more about being popular than i do about truth and humane justice!

Actually I support both sides right to live in peace, and my Grandfather was Irish, my Grandmother English, and happily married for over 70 years.

Being as you're keen to give historical causes for the views you hold I'd like to add some significant facts to the above account...

In 1641,just before the outbreak of hostilities in England a rumour went around the Catholics of Ireland that they might be targeted by the Protestant community who were seen as pro-Parliment. The Irish Catholics were Loyalsts to the Catholic English Monarch.

Irish Catholics suddenly rose & massacred 3000 Protestants,a further 8000 died having been driven out homeless into the cold. Civil War broke out in England so no immediate retaliation took place.

In 1649 Cromwell laid seige to Drogheda & only after several attempts managed to breach the towns walls. The English massacred 3,500 people including all the defending soldiers and 1000 government officials ,priests and 'dangerous civilians'.

Hardly a surprise attack upon unarmed innocents at war with no one .

Is that an Irish or a Scottish saying? Anyway, I'm unsure how it is meant to be interpreted as I'm unaware of what is being defined as the 'ears' and what anomalous change is being claimed to occur.

Perhaps a better saying is "Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it.", which I contend is improved by rewording "Those who fail to learn from the past are condemned to perpetuate it."

Since we cannot change the past, we fare much better by dealing with the present if our intent is to maintain peace in the future.

i suggest you go back another 30yrs to 1631 where upon you will find what brought about the events of 1641. but nice try! summer.you can go back as far as when dinasaurs walked on earth as far as the war against us was concerned and there will still be the same outcome of truths.and the catholic english monarchy was not a catholic english monarchy. in name catholic! only, when a british king was so desperate ta take over Ireland that he changed his religion from protestant ta catholic.thinking somehow it would give him more power over our country.no irish natives were loyal ta any british king.back to the liars club with you.

    pretty simple really.
fighting for peace is like fucking for verginity.

    war isn't a logical strategy.
i'm not saying do nothing, but i am saying, however romantic and simplistic a war on everything may sound, if we want a world where people give a shit instead of wanting to beat each other over the head, then we need to develop strategies toward THAT end, instead of looking for excuses to go out there with a chip on our shoulder.

you must be watching to many movies,if you think there is anything romantic about war.freedom fighting has nothing ta do with lodgic.only freedom from terrorist establishments.in a world where people give a shit there would be less people who support the lying propaganda of their own goverments and even less people who enable them to continue as such.what part of the solution to world peace are you playing?an though i can't speak for anyone else unlike loyalist terrorists my shoulders are perfectly non-chipped!and we've already fucked virgnity 26 times.only 6 more fucks ta ultimate freedom if the terrorists don't stop disrespecting a peace treaty.but hopefully they will will lose the big chip from their shoulders soon and quit causing further riots or any more threats ta carry them down to our already freed counties.which they thought better off later.and did'nt.lets hope they'll keep it that way.so,just curious.do ya like jews ?

Lol. So your first account of the Drogheda incident was'nt as you said it was then? Because ,not 30 but 10 years earlier Cromwell was still a farmer in Norfolk & hadnt murdered any innocents in their beds, yet.
Also at Drogheda in 1641 Irish Catholics loyal to the catholic (born) English King were fighting Cromwells parlimentarian troops alongside English Loyalist soldiers ! Bugger me if our ancestors were'nt side by side on the town walls roamy ! Our needy Irish mates probably begged us to pull them out of the shit.
Of course what with the Prods being parlimentarians & the Natives Loyalists it kinda means one thing-Ireland was'nt a separate country-it was British as its loyalties to both sides in England reflect.

    roamy,

Please recognize that I take no side in the politics relating to Ireland, but relative to the thread topic, I expect that feelings such as those held by you are conducive to justifying some to engage in acts of terrorism.

I'm curious if your feelings are founded in personal experience or a result of education related to historical events?
