im new here but im glad 2 see threads like this on this board. i never shop at walmart becos they are pretty much everything that is wrong with our country and they exploit people with low wages and no beneftis? How does that help the poor???????????

Boycotting Walmart is only a partial solution. And it doesn't begin to address the bigger problem. It's not like Apple stuff sold in Apples stores is made in the USA and Apple stuff sold in Walmart is made in China.

Almost everything Walmart sells is made in China. Boycotting Walmart and buying the same chinese made item from Mom and Pop serves no purpose other than you emptying your wallet faster. Manufacturing will never come back to America as long as the F500 companies can peddle their offshore made crap.

The only solution is to starve the beast and do without. No Ipods. No tvs. No cellphones.

I think the words need not assume the power of hatred. What do you care whether someone might harbor prejudice or not? Words are just words until someone gives them life with their response.

Irish and Italian... in your family history there was most likely at least one wedding that didn't get wholehearted endorsement from both families... so there's probably some inherent drunken self-loathing to boot -eh?

 

I won't spend my money at any corporate store, walmart, safeway, target, fred meyer. They are all the same. Unless I have NO options i refuse to go in there. I tell the people i know the same but man people just need to go in there. Sickening
