    My first WILD...please read

Its 430 am and i woke up having to register for this site. About 4 hours ago i was randomly clicking around on the web and came across this thread. I have always had lucid dreams and was somewhat interested in them. I read the first few pages of this thread and went to bed. Telling myself this isn't real but thinking id probably try it.

Well i caught myself dreaming about 30 minutes ago. And being half asleep i did a couple deep breaths and looked up. And almost immediately i heard lightening...and i was frozen with the loudest noise in my ears. The feeling immediately reminded me of the night terrors i had as a child, some 20 years ago. It was horrifying, and i could feel myself raising out of bed. I instantly started to fight it and come out. Then i remembered this post and tried to ride it some more. Going back into it with acceptance i started (my eyes are open) seeing what looked like a graph of sorts filled with red and greens. At this point it was too much and i let myself wake up.

This was hands down one of the craziest experiences of my life. I had to reach over to my girlfriend and try to calm down for a few minutes. My mind was wide awake and i felt tingly all the way to my finger tips.

Wow. I knew i couldn't go back to sleep after this. Too many questions. My hands still feel very hot. I had to get on here, register, and hopefully by tomorrow will find someone to talk to.

So intense...and very much on accident. I had no idea this was so real.

Ok, now its about an hour after the MOST INTENSE moment of my life. I may sound like a pussy to you, but i feel this may be life changing. I had no idea things like this existed.

Reading back through this post it seems not many people have truly experienced it exactly like the OP.

It's so very real...so very very very crazy real.

I can't sleep. Don't really want to. I'm not even sure if i ever want to try this again.

I'd like to know from people who have had the "look up, and then sonic boom" experience if theres anything to worry about?

Weird, I have lucid dreams but it only happens when Im not tired and try to sleep (with the intention of lucid dreaming). Also my dreams are so real that Im not sure Im dreaming because while in the dream I always wake up where I feel asleep. They're in color, all my senses are working too. I can feel, but not intense pain.

The way I can tell Im dreaming is Ill inflect pain on myself, if I feel nothing, I know I am dreaming. I've done all the basics, fly, create, destroy, sex, I've even killed my self but nothing happens.

The most incredible was when I pushed my arm through a bed sheet that was covering me. For the longest time I've been trying to walk through walls and failed (well I can now), but when I did it for the first time with the sheet covering me, I felt an electrical charge only on the points where my arm was going through the sheet. That's the first time I ever felt electricity. Felt just like putting a 9V battery on your tongue, but on your forearm.

But yea, my dreams are so real I had to record myself sleeping just to make sure I wasn't really walking around my house banging into walls. Im weird like that. Kinda like a scientist just seeing what all can be done in these dreams.

Also when this happens I can sometimes remember what this reality is like and its surroundings. Once I was going to punch down a building, but then I decided not to because one time I feel asleep with a cup of juice next to me and I punched something in my dream and I guess it woke me up and I swung at the cup and knocked the juice over on to my Macbook. Cost like 500 to replace the logic board, stupid...

Funny you bring up DMT, maybe you figured a way to increase enough in your brain that gives the feel of a DMT trip?

Oh yea, sometimes I have lucid dreams, but I just let the dream do it's thing. Im aware Im dreaming, but I don't control the structure or major things that happen. I just control my own body and react to what arises.

Last lucid dream was interesting, not because I was in a PC game (Crysis), but because it was the first time I seen my reflection?! Once the dream started I was in a military uniform with a assault rifle and I thought oh god, this is gonna be one intense dream... When I was walking with my assault rifle, I dunno the terminology, its where the empty shell/casing flies out of the barrel there was a polished metal piece which I looked at and I saw my face and it looked dead on like me in this reality. I couldn't believe it, I starred at it and made faces to see if there would be lag, none. It was just like looking in the mirror while awake.

Anyone else ever see themselves while dreaming?

So I finally tried looking up and it was weird. As soon as I did it, I felt a rush in my body and also a discomfort on the left side of my waist so I woke up. When I woke up, I realized my blanket was balled up under my waist so I thought maybe that's what the pain was so I tried it again and the same result... It feels like the left side of my waist is being pushed in but not intense pain, just an annoying feeling. I can't manage to stay asleep when I attempt this technique...

I've experienced this many times before, unintentionally however. I have had a few lucid dreams from the already sleeping standpoint but i've never been able to hold on to the sleep paralysis. It gets really scary sometimes. All of a sudden ill notice I am awake but my body is stuck and I usually try to stick with it I usually end up shaking out of it. It used to happen a lot more, when I was doing a lot of diphenhydramine, but now it doesnt happen so much. Are there any ways to induce the sleep paralysis stage?

Whoa. Lol this is what I did the first time I lucid dreamed and is the only way I can even still do it.. It has to be the perfect time to wake up though.. It doesn't happen but maybe once a week too me. My first time, I was BLASTED into my bed, and got up and went into the other room too see a arange horse floating in the other room.. It was creepy since then I have done it a few times.. Last time was most interesting even though I don't remember much..:

I got blasted into my room(Before that I wasn't always in MY room, but other places) And I got out of bed.. It was day time this time, and my mom was down here in my room, she asked me something and I replied "Get out of here mom I am lucid dreaming :D" And she said something with a surprised face like "Excuse me! Don't use that type of language in this house!" But then I walked out of the door and I remember outside being crazy weird looking.. Thats it though.. I just remember it being AMAZING, too bad I fell back asleep and never wrote it down :( I need to start doing that..

And flex your eyes, I am sure you know what I am talking about, relax. Deeper and deeper, then move your eyes up while they are closed.. Works like a charm

So i was reading this thread yesterday, and i HAD to register to comment/question it. I've been meditating and attempting to lucid dream now for a few weeks, and Ive only had one experience where i almost had a lucid dream. I was dreaming(without realizing at first that i was), and i was in a bathroom, and as i approached the mirror everything started vibrating and buzzing really loudly. I then thought back to the lucid dreams and got a little overexcited that it was finally happening, and i ended up waking up. Ive tried the WILD method, oh, about 5-10 times now and its never actually worked for me.
Ive also been using these things called Binaural Beats and Isochronic tones to try and help with attaining a state of calm awareness easier and faster than just with meditation alone. idk, when i close my eyes and calmly focus, i can never seem to see anything like what you guys describe. The only time i can remember seeing patterns and whatnot was when i was coming down off a DXM trip. even when my eyes were open i could see the patterns on my walls and ceiling. I've been looking at the Chakra system lately, and it seems legit enough, so i was thinking that maybe my recent DXM trips caused an imbalance in my chakras. Or that i just fucked myself up. I was using Coricidin cough and cold, and it has other chemicals that affect the body as well. And although i havent used it much as of late, this past summer i used it a whole lot with weed, and had some of the most amazing experiences of my life.
But anyways, right now im attempting to explore my consciousness and expand my awareness while sober, so if anyone has any advice or pointers, they would be greatly appreciated.

Also, a link to a lucid dream FAQ that has quite a few ways to induce lucid dreams. Personally, i want to try them all one day, but i'd like to try having a lucid dream using the WILD method before i get ahead of myself.

    Thanks :)

    Hey hey
I read about this a bunch of times, and I'm really interested in lucid dreaming. Ever since august 2010 I've been trying to get lucid dreams, sometimes I get lazy and I just don't even try anymore. However lately I've been getting strange dreams. A few nights ago, I dreamt(or I think I did) that I was lying in my bed, and I felt like I was unable to move. I tried to look at the TV in my bedroom (only thing I can remember) and it was very brown / darkish. I couldn't move my body, at all. Anyway, some time before I went to sleep that night, I was scouring the internet for some DMT information. One person said that in order to remember your dreams, one must be able to 'just let go'. I recalled this when I was in this state of sleep paralysis(or maybe I just dreamt it? Can't remember). The next thing was that I actually fell through my body and I got this strange kind of happiness. Strange because it felt like happiness but also different. The next thing that happened is that I woke up at 5.00 AM with a racing heart.
This was such a weird experience, for the morning that I woke up, it felt like it happened 3 weeks ago, but it also felt so real, like undescribable.
This weekend I will try your WILD tecnique!

So I have come close to WILD a few times. Here they are, not sure if stalk still posts here as it took me a second to realize this thread was started in 2008.

I'll naturally wake up 4-6 hours into my sleep to go to the bathroom. When I lay down I do what I can to maintain focus while falling asleep. I hear the "booms" but to me they are more like the sounds your ears make when water comes out of them after a day at the beach. I see flashing like behind my eyelids. I don't get scared or alarmed but I end up just losing focus, not sure how. Next thing I know I am waking up wondering wtf happened.

Sometimes I will have a dream where I am laying in my bed seeing my room but it is different. For some reason it freaks me out without me being able to tell myself not to freak out so I twitch my body really hard till I wake.

Tried this last night, didn't wake up first though. I hadn't fallen asleep yet, but I had been trying for a couple hours, and eventually felt myself slipping into sleep, but was still pretty conscious, so I rolled my eyes up, and sure enough I was sucked right out the top of my skull. Didn't hear any booms, but did hear some trippy boings and zips and whatnot, also some distant moaning. 'woke up' in a really clear lucid dream. Went for a fly, ghosted through some walls and mucked about in medieval Portugal for some time - unfortunately my neighbors rooster woke me up before I could conjure a joint and seduce a busty bar-maiden (what a pity). By the way, is it normal for a rooster to go off at all hours of the day and night (in last night's case, 2am)?

I saw a woman dressed in a beautiful white dress..with long black wavy hair.. She was running FREELY through a garden filled with colorful flowers.. The garden was filled with every color flower you can possibly imagine and flowers that I haven't even seen in the physical world... The garden had no ending.. No destination... I couldn't see her face.. I could only see her from the back.. running through this garden that had no destination.. I said to myself .. "It's all about a journey" and instantly the woman was in front me.. Her head was pointing down & I still couldn't see her face.. I felt soooo much loving energy from her.. That I felt like hugging her.. All of a sudden she said: "accept me" with her head still pointing down.. "Of course I accept you" I said ... "But who are you?"
"I am everything & I am you" she said ... She looked up at & I realized she was me..
I felt as if my body didn't exist... i was nothing.. and yet i felt such deep love & tears were rolling down my face...

Ooh this sounds fun...except I often have trouble with lucid dreaming when I get disturbed through the REM stage, either I feel that paralysis and can't wake myself up, or I wake up but not fully and can still see/hear from my dream. :s
