looks like we need a new term then.

Kundalini Awakening seems like a good phrase for becoming noticeably aware of the energy/lifeforce/sustainment flowing into and out of me

    and yes, it burns
    I'm not in control
    It comes and goes
    ever so slow

The term for that is Savikalpa Samadhi if we are expressing this in Hindu terms.

I've never heard this term?? Nirvikalpa Samadhi is the highest level of samadhi as far as Im aware, and between this is brought about by Kundalini being fully awake. When she wakes up, sleep never comes back

when I googled savikalpa, several different sources gave a progressive list that looked like this

    1. Laya Samadhi
    2. Savikalpa Samadhi
    3. Nirvikalpa Samadhi
    4. Sahaja Samadhi

Sahaja was always described as the greatest or highest samadhi.

here's a brief description from one site

"Even after achieving the highest type of realization, on very rare occasions is anyone blessed with sahaja samadhi. Very few spiritual Masters have achieved this state. For sahaja samadhi, the Supreme's infinite Grace is required. Sahaja samadhi comes only when one has established inseparable oneness with the Supreme, or when one wants to show, on rare occasions, that he is the Supreme. He who has achieved sahaja samadhi and remains in this samadhi, consciously and perfectly manifests God at every second, and is thus the greatest pride of the Transcendental Supreme."

Interesting, it seems to be pretty much an extention of nirvikalpa.
Perhaps it relates to profound moments of divine intervention, using the person who has attained nirvikalp as the medium?
But then this ties into the 4 yuga cycles, the last of which brings destruction (Shiva, the consort to Kundalini devi) in
order to awaken others, like Jesus dying on the cross, or man discovering fire during the last galactic alignment.

John, in the black part of your sig-

are there supposed to be animated twinkling stars there?

or is this just familiar friends coming out to play?

-Sorry to be off current topic-
I've tried to do lucid dreaming and I followed your method but always lose to sleep.
I feel my body shutting off and start to see weird patterns and that's all I remember.
    Any suggestions?

You have to consciously beware that you are sitting in a theatre.
You have to stay awake to see the way the play ends...

    Just practice.

    It's an exercise.

    The deeper you go
the deeper you'll be able to go

When you say sleep 4-6 hours and then lay down again, do you use an alarm clock to wake up?

    4.5-6

    REM cycle is 1.5 hours.

I use my cell phone to wake me up.

I tend to automatically wake up after every dream anyways, if only briefly and barely.

Ok so last night I woke up and didn't even get up I just layer there and tried to go back to sleep. Before I knew it I could feel my body being paralyzed and started seeing the weirdest things ever. I got scared and forced myself to wake up. Then it happened again (this wasn't on purpose) and I remembered the eye thing (tho shortly after trying I remembered that comes later) then I start hearing a strange voice calling my name. Maybe four times, then she sad either yellow or hello. Lol then I got too scared and again forced myself to wake up.
I lied awake for a bitthdn decided to try Shan without getting scared but fell asleep.
My theory is it doesn't work if I try too hard.

But is the voices thing normal...?

Follow the algorithm, there is precision in the rhythm.
    Voices are "normal"
'cause consciousness is inhabited in every sector.

    I did this.

And I got into the sleep paralysis. But then some creature started walking on my bed and woke me up.

I think it was my dead cat.

AHHHHHHHH, so close last night. SOOOOO close, I think I was pretty much there but I got so excited that I became totally conscious and messed it up. The sleep paralysis part feels pretty good, I could have stayed in that for a little longer and not complained, I remembered to look up and something was happening. Stalk you are so right about this. I just need to be calm and remain relaxed and I think I'll be in.
