Don't worry about the drugs bro. If you need something you'll find it. I'd rather not make a sign on an internet message board saying HEADY CRACK AT THIS FESTIVAL or TONS OF LSD-25 ALL OVER WAKARUSA. Its a music festival and hahaha I'm gunna get shit for this if any of my friends read it (which I hope they don't lol) but the biscuits will be there.

I go to Festivals for the Music. The party favors are just a side benefit.

Pick up the new album.. the vocals are reworked and its killer! I've been real into it and I'm not a big fan of their studio shit besides TFR. Damn the scheduales are up and its looking like a badass festival! Too bad I will have to miss Les and Greyboy allstars, but oh well theres so much AWESOME music I have no complaints.

I went and bought my tickets today. I bought the last two at CD Trade Post. no worries though other local shops still have tickets.(for locals who aren't buying online or at gate)
i'm can't wait now. the schedule looks great most bands are playing mulitiple times, the homegrown stage looks pretty good as does the DJ stage.

for those of you going for the illegal drugs, you might want to think twice about that.... police presence at the fest has just doubled for this year (this includes kansas hi-po's)...... they are crackin down because of that dude that was found who overdosed on cocaine and methodone.

flaming lips have also been added this year!!

Good news for me cause I could care less if there are drugs or not.. but Kansas P.O. was already excessive last year.. they're not gunna prevent an OD or two... but whatever. They'll have a good time busting pot heads and kids for underage drinking. Kansas is such a lame ass state.

I don't really mind cuz i don't do any drugs any more so hey. by the way every state is lame if you put cops and underage drinkers together. You'd be suprised how passive the douglas county p.d. is the highway patrol depends on which officer you get. but thank you i find it peaceful and fairly pollution free. I don't find kansas lame only some people here are lame, which is true for anywhere. sorry kinda like my place in the world.love

I had no problems last year because I kept my partaking on the down low.Remember this is NOT private property like Camp Zoe is so keep it low key and you should be fine.

    Remember: Outta sight,outta mind.

Yeah but I got popped with a M.I.P. first five minutes I was at that festival and all I was doing was carying my cooler from the car to the tent... thats a little much for a music festival. Hasnt happened to me in Maine, Vermont, North Carolina, Tennessee, California, Colorado, West Virginia or FL and I have been at fests in all of those states.

Where were you camped? What was their probable cause for harrassing you/searching your cooler? I agree its pretty ridiculous that you got popped for MIP while someone was probably slinging smack 20 yards away. There's a reason I spell the state Kans-ass.

I was just pulling the cooler from the car in the main campground a few feet into the grass where we put our tent up. He was plained clothed and undercover and asked for a beer so I gave it to him. And the next thing I knew he grabbed me by the shoulder and walked me up to a van where he wrote me a citation.

trust me, douglas county pd isnt much tame anymore. they have been too tame which is causing lawrence to be a little on the dangerous side, downtown especially. just recently there have been more fights downtown at bars, shootings and stabbings...... they need to be a little more not so passive. there are too many ruffians coming from topeka to cause trouble.

damn topekians... ruin it for everyone...

are there undercovers at an event like wakarusa? cause open cops dont freak me out as much as knowing that its possible that the people im listining to music with could be on the dark side
