My car is a Volkswagen and I have to say that I'm hooked, there is just no better car in my mind. Smooth ride, nice pickup, great interior, great exterior looks, its definetly my favorite car! I love my VW so much!

As far as the OECD countries concerned: the US ranks 1stin assaults, murders with firearms, Burglaries and in Prisoner population (you have more than 2 million people in jails, which is more than the population of Kuweit or Luxemburg)

About education:
You say it’s not amont a govt.’s responsibilities to provide free higher education. I dont see why any govt. would not support someting as positive as educating its own people.

You’re right about the military expenditures and innovations though…. we owe the internet to the US army after all. But it’s a fact that the wars are the greatest opportunities for research and development. Radio, radar, jet engines, radioactivity, atom bomb, fission, missiles, all were the products of the “evil” war machines. Be it “evil” germans, “evil” russians or “good” americans (you see, it’s all relative). Nobody attacked Germany in the 2nd WW to save the jews or the roma people…They just did not want to let germany grow any bigger, for that sake, they let Russia do so…. (hitler even wanted to ally with england and the US to fight Russia).
