vw bus' aren't good for traveling they're gas guzzlers and if it's not in good condition they break down alot vw's are for short distance unless you have a reliable one
wow that would be perfect. the inside looks fantastic it would be perfect for living in. and its cheap. this is good. ill just paint it crazy colors and pretend that its a vw. ah wow this seriously would work out really well. it looks spacious so my friend would have room for all her guitar equipment and everything. ahh coool! im terrible at finding cars online so this was a hugeeee help thank you so much! im gonna send the link to my friend and see what she thinks.
ha yea so i've heard. its a shame really. they are so pretty. but oh well i'd rather not break down in the middle of no where and not be able to afford to get it fixed.
i've been tryin to get this one for soo long but now idk...i just need a cheap vehicle that will get me from pt a to pt b back to pt a w/o trouble
Do I need to find Auri and affordable Nissan now? I'd go with the mini Toyota pickup trucks myself, always able to pack & go that way.
hahahahah that caused me to laugh. your everyones car finder. you seem to know a whole bunch about cars so now everytime i have a car question im coming to you! hahah
Here's one thing you may have not taken into consideration. Getting insurance. Make sure that the insurance that you do get covers all the music equipment that you will be carrying. don't assume anything. Even if you have to phone the insurance agent, make sure you have coverage. As they say, better safe than sorry! PAX
oh whoa i didnt even know you could get insurance that would cover the equipment in the car. thank you for the advice! i hadnt thought about that. thank youuu!!
does anyone know what the insurance would cost for something like this: http://lasvegas.craigslist.org/ctd/1640569337.html
If liability insurance ran you more than $100 a month there would be something drasticly wrong. As far as items in the vehicle I think you might want to look into travellers insurance as not many places would want to bother insuring such an old road pig like that van. And short of a semi hitting you, not much on the road that would put much of a hurt on that vehicle so I wouldn't worry about going full coverage on it. But I do agree that looking into some sort of insurance for the equipment and whatnot would be a good call.
Wow, lots of bus haters here! We love ours, but they do take a bit of work. The thing is, you can learn to do some of it yourself. someday, we plan to travel in ours. We know we'll have to be able to do some of our own repairs on the road when we do. If you want to learn about vw buses, check out www.thesamba.com. They have classifieds, too.
we dont hate them, we just know they're not all too reliable and that the parts cost a good deal more than would parts for an american vehicle of similar vintage not to mention they can be trickier to find parts for.
Penelope, we need one of these! They do seem like they would be a lot more reliable than a VW Bus. We should still get one someday, but I think one of these sort of vans would be best. It looks safer and there would probably be a lot more room. I just had another one of those moments where everyone in my family assures me that I'm going to give up being who I am and settle down. It's time to go, NOW. My Dad is also still looking into that Albertson's job, and if that works out we'll have the money for sure.
