Vote Someone Off the Forums...?

I vote Skip off followed by a public humiliation. We then take over these pansy-ass forums and run them like they should be run. No crying allowed.

 

Who made you forum god..that was pretty lame, the last thing you said. You could have done better than that.

poor skip.... he thought of something fun and somehow developed into fights.... if you don't like someone - ignore them ... don't cause skip anymore grief than he needs he's got a lot on his plate and everyone is causing unnecessary trouble... Yes, I am his lap dog, actually. I quite enjoy it too.

He's not any more judgmental than Colenzo, Velvet or a bunch of other people that post on here.

I hate spelling/grammar errors myself (English B.A.). However, I always try to take it into account that:

1) Message boards are casual. A mistake or two can be overlooked.

2) Someone might have a learning disorder like dyslexia. My own brother had issues as a child and used to write "maybe" as "mabey." Now, however, he is a good writer. Everyone is not so lucky.

As far as shutting down the forums, I can't stop it from being done. So a decision has to be made. If I were going to run a forum, ceaselessly negative individuals would be gone. We all can be negative at times, but some people are over the top. Most people here do make some kind of a positive contribution though.

 

OK, and jeffrey's been banned before too. Your point? Don't worry, they'll be back in a few days... It's not permanent you know.

And you mean, "...couldn't care less," I think. If you are trying to say you don't care, it's, "I couldn't care less."

I never said I was the "forum god" -- puhlease. I just made corrections and suggestions, and yeah, a few criticisms. But that's within the realm of fair play, and free speech and all that. And if people don't want someone calling them on how pathetically poorly they write, they should use the brains that god gave them and put a little work and intelligence into their posts, and a little effort into their typing. It's not hard to learn to type if you have all 10 fingers intact. Go to Target and pick up "Mavis Beacon Teaches Typing" for like under twenty bucks. It WILL teach you to type!

I think some of the people who are "negative" aren't REALLY that way. And it keeps things interesting. If all of us got along and agreed, there would be nothing to talk about!!

 

How about a forum prison, or death row...a place of purgatory where all offending members are forced to only post in one forum or thread together...they could be required to continue posting 10 times per day,but only within the limits of the prison...occasionally there would be a prison fight, and yes somemebers would "die," but to everyone else it would be voyeuristic heaven.
