John Kerry claims to be pro-choice, but he is VERY Catholic as is his wife..and usually people of this religion tend to be Pro-Life. What you must remember is that Bush says things to satisfy the right wing, and kerry tries to win over the left... it isn't always about what the individual candidate believes in.
