Volcanic Ash

I've got it. The "Clean-air tax".
The government will now have their top scientists develop large machines that will filter the air, cleaning all the ash and glass particles away. Thus, providing us fresh clean air. They will add this as an addition to council tax, in order to pay for the development of the large machines. Thus the government will be taxing us for the one thing they always dreamed about but thought it would never be possible. We will be being taxed, simply for the right to breathe.

 

Frankly I am outraged

First they let their banks collapse and take all our money,
then they let their volcanoes close down our airspace

yeah but its ash....and tiny particles of, if it can travel that far by air.
how often does it happen that a bird or something flies or gets sucked into the propellas, and the plane dosent chash.
of corse it is understandable they dont want to take any risks...
but still.....im suspichious...heh
and tbh...the peace and quiet is quite nice...im not complaining about that....

 

Well, the planes are flying again. Guess the zombie apocalypse has been postponed once again.

 

my plane gets diverted to milan and the fuckers dont let our plane-load off with a lame excuse of there being no hotel rooms for the night! we're flown off to rome. so i think im gonna rent a car to drive to germany (where i need to be) and after a bit of search find a rental company that'd find me a car to rent, but ..my drivers license is not on me. so a train ride it is, queuing up 4hours for a bloody ticket and a 27hour train ride through austria

I don't know why but this hysteria over the volcano is nostalgic and mildly amusing to me. When I was young, millions of years ago, really,
we had volcano vacation for the ash from Mt St Helens....people running around in masks because the sky was falling. The ash can really mess up engines, though.
