yeah, but i dream pretty regular and vivid all the time. the alcohol just tends to make them more like a trippy drug experience than actual sleep, which is felt the next day when it feels like i didnt sleep nearly the amount of hours i did. it feels like half way between astral projection type and regular dreams. i dont know how to describe it other than give you an example. one eve of new years eve i was getting drunk all day, and when i went to sleep it was as if my body and mind separated. my body slept ut my mind floated above me and the bed, projected a blue beam into the tv to the right of me which reflected onto a mirror in front of me so i was watching tv in the mirror. i didnt really know i was sleeping or dreaming, it just felt like it was what i was supposed to hear. it was more of a half slep though, as i could still hear noises from my surroundings like people flushing toilets and stuff, and i even heard a conversation my friends mom was having. i was butt tired the next day, but it was one of the coolest sleping experiences i ever had.

Wow that sounds amazing! I really envy that. I usually can't remember any of the dreams I have even though I do remember dreaming almost every night that I haven't been drinking. Marijuana kind of does that to me though. I remember my dreams a lot more but they're just the regular sort of fantasy/everyday events intertwining dreams that I know I always have even though I really can't remeber them during waking life. Wierd.

This is caused by being slightly awake during R.E.M sleep. It's the easiest way to experience an Out of Body experience. I have had this same thing happen to me 3 times, but it had nothing to do with alcohol. It happens when coming out of a deep sleep or going into a deep sleep, and being SLIGHTLY awake enough to understand what is going on. Crazy things happen when going into REM sleep....auditory and visual hallucinations, your whole body shaking, etc. Most people aren't ever awake during this time, so they have no idea what goes on, but the small amount of people that experience this, understand how amazing and insane this can be.

Alcohol wasn't the cause of that, it was being awake during REM sleep.

If you research a bit, you can actually train your body to stay awake, or awake during REM sleep, and experience very similar things. Same way you can train your body to have lucid dreams.

I love it, but it certainly was really scary the first time it happened.

yeah, i know it wasnt because of the alcohol, but sometimes alcohol makes it more easier. i got into lucid dreaming a while back, and ever since i got used to understanding that it always happens and that i just have to be aware of it, trippy things happen sometimes when ive been binge drinking, but not ass faced drunk. if im too drunk, i'll just dream pure blackness. the alcohol just kinda allows me to slip into it easier because while it makes you pass out easier, the quality of sleep is actually less. it also happens when im just naturally really tired and worn out. it helps if like my body is really relaxed, but im still kinda fresh in the mind, only not to fresh in the mind or else my mind will wander too much and it'll make me snap myself out of it as soon as i start to feel that drifting feeling and when it feels like i can see through my eyelids. i trained myself to not try to do it every time i go to sleep, but just be aware that its whats supposed to happen everytime i go to sleep. you have to concentrate on not concentrating so to say, if you know what i mean. go nike on it. dont think, just do it.

I actually have those sort of REM dreams a lot when I'm in class or some situation when i'm not trying to fall asleep but I still am anyway. It rather odd because they're usually really vivid, like I'm falling into another reality, but they're extremely short and fleeting. I've just got to do some more research and learn to control them but they are actually very fun!

Lucid dreams, I'm living in lucid dreams
I'm living in short based dreams tonight! ;)

I agree, it's even better than Grey Goose. Goose gives me a head ache though. My new fav. is Boru Vodka. It's an Irish vodka that is 5 times distilled. It's good to mix or shoot and the big bottle is like $21-25. :cheers2:

I like Grey Goose for drinking straight, and Absolut or Skyy for mixing. All three get high marks for purity.

I can't help but laugh when I see Burnett's vodka mentioned...Something about liquor in a plastic bottle doesn't exactly indicate a high quality potation. But to each his own...

Me, I prefer Smirnoff blue label, one of the few 100 proof vodkas available. Smooth enough to drink straight, but still reasonable enough in price. I was not impressed by Grey Goose when I drank it and haven't had Belvedere yet.

Anyone ever heard of Ston vodka? I tried it once and it was very, very smooth!

I'm off to check the cabinet to see if I have enough for a shot of vodka and orange juice!
