These days spare time and money goes to drinking with friends. Back before I was old enough to get served booze it was a good way to kill an afternoon. I can't really get into them anymore. Short attention span.
I'm starting to get into games which sucks because my boyfriend is the one with the Xbox 360. Sometimes I'm so excited about continuing my game that I'm like yeah hello I love you too, gimme the controller. lol I liked kotor for the original xbox, left 4 dead 2, guitar hero, sims 3, and mass effect. lovely.
I'm a big WoW player, and I really like StarCraft II as well. I love some PS3 every once in awhile, too (BioShock is <3).
I've lost friends to WOW. Perfectly awesome sociable cool people. Than I wouldn't hear from them for like 7 weeks. So I'd go to their house and knock on their door. They'd emerge like vampires, hissing at the sun when I greeted them, only to invite me in and let me watch them play World Of Warcraft.
Videogames are sick. There's nothing quite like shotgunning one of your friends in the face while puffin' on a blunt (in real life) and calling him a bitch. I had an apartment with a few of my friends and we had the xbox and a shit-ton of movies and games and nice sound system and a ton of controls and shit so it was fun as shit when we weren't doing something......constructive. But if you're by yourself it's not as fun unless you have one of those rpg things like Mass Effect or whatever. Also, fuck Final Fantasy. I got the last one and got stuck at a boss where you have to do some shit at some point when he fires his jizz cannon and I'm just sitting there like "Dude I can't do this shit" Fucking Final Fantasy
It's actually pretty cool! A lot more customizations available for your Sims, ranging from height and weight to even their voices. The game play is pretty similar to the Sims 2, but you can go to the city view any time and visit other Sims and businesses downtown with the click of your mouse (instead of all the crazy loading screens like in the Sims and Sims 2). I haven't played it enough to tell you much more, but I really did like the game. And they're coming out with a new Sims game, The Sims Medieval. It's like the Sims meets Warcraft (not WoW, just straight up Warcraft). You have a kingdom and each different character in the kingdom has a different playable role and they all have quests, and you can customize all of them. Basically you can play the game like the Sims and build a kingdom in the process. I'm geeking out over this one hardcore, I may even spend the necessary $ to update my computer just so I can play the stupid thing. Haha.
Agreed- the new Sims is pretty awesome. You can spend a good hour customizing your sim if you want it to look super accurate. Mine actually looks a lot like me.
Dude fuck that shit get Fable 3. You start out as a normal dude and become king and like, make improvements on all the towns you promised while campaigning and behead people and host huge orgies but if you don't use a condom you get stds. Awesome.
Yeah but it just shows a black screen so if that's the only reason you would play it then don't get your hopes up
That's on Xbox, though, isn't it? I don't have an Xbox, nor do I plan on getting one anytime soon. lol
I am currently playing Dungeons and Dragons online, the Forgotten Realms II I am prolly gonna pick up playing Diplomacy with friends. I recently started tinkering again with Civ IV Fall from Heaven Umm... I play TF2, the Guild, and Minecraft. I'd like to play Battlefield: Bad Company 2 at some point, so if anyone wants to gift me on Steam....
Haha. Shhh... I'm gonna level up next Saturday and be the best rock Gnome artificer from the Star Mounts the game's ever seen!!! I am a nerd though. Computer gaming is pretty nerdy I suppose. I do dabble in geo-political forum post gaming as well and I think RPGs are cool. I like crafting games. Anything that I can alter the storyline and be creative, helps to keep my mind occupied and it's fun to do outside of the books I read for school or the projects I work on at work. A little fantasy escape is precious and entertaining. I have enjoyed playing Halo, Bioshock, CoD, KoL, Fable, GTA, Metal Gear Solid, and anything that involves zombies on XBox and/or PS2. I have an old NES that I play with my roommates and whenever friends come over.
