Also Edwards screwed up many, MANY times about various things during the debate... Funny how anytime Bush and co make a mistake everyone is all over like it's some huge horrible thing, yet when kerry and co do, everyone just seems to conveniently not notice?
Well first off Edwards seemed to have no qualms about breaking the time limit, and second you completely missed my point, re-read what I said, and actualy try and figure out what it means, rather than jumping to idiotic conclusions. Besides Cheney managed to explaine most of what he was talking about quite well, and he actualy took for the most part only his allotted time to do so. I think people are just so eager to hate Bush that they don't even realize the alternative is most likely worse. Did you notice that almost everything edwards said was basicaly the republican ideas, only taken to the extreme? Notice how his solution to everything was killing? How he seemed to want wars with at least 3 more countries?
It was his first debate, Cheney is used to debates..Cheney did present himself as calm but I don't believe he won, I believe he tied, I don't think Edwards messed up, he did studder some out of nervousness, but he didn't pause for several seconds like Bush did in the debate..I think he did well being as it was his first debate http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/6187803/ <--the VP Debate
It's just that the Edwards confused countries, and people, among other things and he didn't seem to know what the hell he was talking about. Also he just had this stupid cocky ass-hole smirk on his face the whole time, and seemed to be very condescending and full of himself. I for one believe actions speak louder than words... One thing I would like to point out was the confusing of saddam with osama, Bush got mad shit for it in the first debate, regardless of the fact that Kerry also made the same mistake! Edwards too made the same mistake!
Yeah, Edwards preformed similar to Bush in the debate, but I would still call it a tie because I wasn't impressed much with Cheney. I don't think Cheney did any better answering questions, especially on the domestic questions (granted Bush and Cheney haven't done much domestically the past 4 years), but I think he clearly chowed us that "more of the same" is what we can expect from the bush administration domestically for the next 4 years. Cheney also let Edwards get the last word too much, rarely taking advantage of his 30 second rebuttals that would allow him to get one more punch in on Edwards before moving to the next question.
I thought Cheney actualy did a fairly good job of answering the questions, and well, Edwards rarely answered any of them. Also as far as the rebuttals I think Cheney did a good job of knowing when or when not to speak, sort of showed he was the better person, in not always needing the last word.
Many of the times I think he didn't need the rebuttal at all as he had done an adequate job of explaining himself to begin with.
So no one's opinions are valid unless they agree with yours? I have respect for Soulless because he is actually explaing his opinion and point of view without trying to discredit other's opinions. No two people are always going to agree on everything, but that doesn't mean that one or the other has to be wrong. We are simply expressing our opinions, and I have given NO propaganda during that. Quote an example of where my propaganda is, and maybe we can talk about it.
I never said I wasn't...You said, To which I asked for examples of my propaganda. I never said I wasn't bias, you are the one who basically tried to invalidate my post by calling it bias propaganda, when any opinion coming from you (which would be you agreeing with Soulless) is going to be bias as well. I don't know when a person's opinion's turned into "bias propaganda" but you are the one who said it, not I.
