I also go barefoot as much as possible, but being young and living with my parents definitely hinders where I can go with no shoes. I have been wanting a pair of these forever, they are just too expensive! I suppose I am rather eh thrifty when it comes to things haha.
I would wear those if they made a really huge size just to leave giant footprints in the bush to freak people out.
never. and it doesn't look like they would be very comfortable for folks with mortons toe disorder such as myself, one of the main reasons i dislike shoes.
How come when I posted about these a few days ago, everyone was all "ew those are gross" and now people think they're cool? I thought they were cool before all y'allz... I'm just so ahead of the curve in all things.
Why would they be called 5 fingers? I bet it's cause some advertising marketer decided toes have unattractive connotations. It's much more marketable to just call your product something fucking stupid. A rubber toe sock called 5 fingers? Come on.
Because people tend to judge based on the messenger, not the message. Vibram stopped making these boots for women a while back. Booties with toes is certainly different. .
For those of you with Morton's disorder, these things aren't affected by that. Can't remember the name of these things. The adhesive effect is built into the material and doesn't wear out. .
Garsh never thought of that... Anywho, I think there were also different people in my thread. I'm not bunged up about it. Just making a joke because I noticed. I'd still try them if they weren't so expensive. Something about them reminds me of crocs the more I look at them, though.
maybe they want you to steal them.. judging by the first several posts, i think this was originally in the dreadlock forum. which i suspect is the actual reason for the difference in reactions.
My man bought me some, and I love them, bc I usually go barefoot, but I cant at work, unless I want horse poo on my feet.
Could be. The irritability level can get quite high in RT. To be safe, don't propose anything outside the box here. Also, don't say anything critical about beloved institutions such as McDonald's and Fox News. .
I believe Vibram is an italian company, and in italian the word for fingers and toes is the same. They liked how fivefingers sounded, so they stuck with it.
