When I was younger I would always think 'Why are we eating a dead animal?'. I didn't know about the cruelty that the animals went through so we could eat them but I still questioned why we would eat an animal that was just living it's life just like us. I told my mom I wanted to go vegetarian when I was nine but she wouldn't let me because she thought it was unhealthy. So when I was fourteen, we watched a video about the suffering that animals go through at the slaughter house. After that, I gave up meat. My parents don't like it but they respected my beliefs.
I became a vegetarian in April. I remembered reading an article in the paper about the cruelty of factory farms and decided to look it up on the internet.......after seeing those pictures I became a vegitarian then and there and started writing a little summary of why we should be vegetarian.....I passes it out at school I just kept expanding on it. I became vegetarian a year and 4 months ago because I noticed i was eating alot of burger king and mcdonalds and what not and I felt dirty. I knew if i continued I'd end up being really big and really unhealthy. I had tried to go veg before, but it only lasted a couple of days and then on Aug 1st of last year I got bored and really mad at my self so i just stopped- flat out. I was done with it. Its been cool tho, i love veggis now. like, i love lettuce, its my fav. and carrots, and the juicy taste of peppers, im also into exotic fruit- i lloooovee mangos. I really wanna go raw foodist, but i dont think im ready for it yet.
