Several other things come to Mind - prostate gland/ cancer/ Death. Wouldn't hurt to consult a damned good urologist. My exSO/ I/ our docs determined there were fewer health risks w/having her tubes tied. One problem may be finding a doc to do either procedure at yall's ages.
I think all guys should get vasectomies ... nah, just kidding. I'd say wait, just to make sure. People do change their minds.
yeah afdter some searching i have realized its not as easy to reverse as i once thought lol...i really dont like the idea of an iud...and i wasnt talking about condoms breaking just...how do i put this...i dunno we have had some embarrasing monents..I dont know i guess we could try a differnt kind of condom...we'll figure somethin out...thanks
Lol ... I was the product of an "embarrassing moment" involving condoms ... hehe ... That probably doesn't make you feel better.
Your mothers periods are probably screwy because at 51 she may be going through menopause. Why would you want your man to get something so....permanent. You're 20 years old, who says that in a couple of years you won't want kids? If taking a pill once a day is such a burden, maybe you shouldn't be having sex. Maybe you should try a different form of birth control. If you have embarassing moments with condoms, go to the health department, they have pamphlets on how to use them.
First of all, don't let anyone try to talk you out of it if you are completely certain that you never want children... some women are sure of this, I am one of them. And I always hear the whole "You might change your mind" speech, but honestly, I can assure you I wouldn't. However, if you're asking if it's wise, I am a little apprehensive for you... I feel that if you were completely certain it's what you want, you wouldn't be so unsure. But, I don't know, I'm not you. Anyhow, some places might be more willing to do it than others... From what I have read on Planned Parenthood's site, they usually ask that the male must be at least 21 years old. So you might have to wait. If you can't get one doctor to do it, shop around. If it's a state law to not have it done at a certain age, or meet certain criteria however, it might be a bit of a problem. In that case, if you really have your heart set on it, you could always look into having it done out of state, but I'm not sure what lengths you are willing to go to to have it done. I know many men who have had vasectomies, and said it was virtually painless. My friend's step father had one done, and went back to work the next day. From what I have read, it's a good idea to still use condoms or birth control for about the first 3 months after the procedure because the sperm remains in the male's system behind the blocked tubes for a while. A simple test — semen analysis — shows when there is no more sperm in the seminal fluid. I love Planned Parenthood, so try this link for a good dose of information: http://www.plannedparenthood.org/pp2/portal/files/portal/medicalinfo/birthcontrol/pub-contraception-vasectomy.xml If you decide NOT to take the route of vasectomy and are growing tired of your birth control pills, I would suggest talking to your gynocologist for other suggested methods of contraception. There are TONS of different methods.
If you or your partner are allergic to latex there is the option of polyurethane. Lamb skin too, though that is usually more expensive and I am not a fan of animal products. If by embarassing you mean crotch farts [we all get them, don't be ashamed] try using lubricant if you haven't already... it also helps to prevent from you getting too dry and the condom breaking. Always used water based lubricant, there are so many different kinds. I like "wet" light. You could even try a spermicidal contraceptive gel, mixed with condoms to be safer, and lube all at once. Try looking up condoms online, if you just go to the drugstore there are usually only a few different kinds, the same kind everywhere you go... But I have found many different brands and types of condoms online. Since I don't 100% trust condoms, I always advise withdrawal. There is also the female sponge, which I have recently stumbled upon and am considering myself.
